"Are you going to meet them?"
"What did you just say Daniel..."
"Did I stutter?"

returning to his cold gaze where I cowered in fear infront of, I could barely recognize Daniel. He was angry at me, no, furious. He was furious that I lied, I didn't tell him ANYTHING.

Consequences always catch up to you, but I didn't expect it to be this fast. Daniel seemed to get angrier second by second at the lack of answers I was giving and only gave him a small:

"It's night, we'll talk in the morning okay?"
"Do whatever you want, but I'll let you know I'm disappointed in you."
"Daniel I'm so—"
"Save it, just go."

He walked towards the bed and laid back down his back facing me, it felt like I got stabbed through my heart and was forced to eat glass shatters. is what I'm doing wrong? I'm just trying to help, I'm just trying to help us..there's nothing wrong with it right? I mean—-

The loud car honking noise made me stop thinking and I looked at Daniel for the last time before hiding the prickling tears and swallowing the brick in my throat that held me back from breathing properly. Straightening myself out I walk out the door the cold air immediately hitting me as I close the door behind me.

I walk to the car and sit in the backseat, goo turns to me with a worried face but I shake it off and tell gun to drive, crossing my arms I rest my head on the window and listened to the radio. Soon falling into a slumber.

However I experience a dream, more like a reality that happened in the past. it was younger me standing alone in kindergarten waiting for my dad to pick me up. All the other kids telling their mothers what they want for dinner or either showing their dads the drawings they made. The parents sheltering their kids from the rain with the umbrellas as younger me stood there drenched soaking wet holding onto my T-shirt. A shabby t-shirt at that, worn out shoes and plain pants. My hair messily combed as a result of having to do it alone.

"F/n, where's your daddy?"  A younger classmate asked, I wanted to speak up but couldn't as if a Barrier was holding me down. Then the kids mom came and pulled them away from me whispering but loud enough for me to hear.

"Don't play with f/n , her daddy's a..."

"F/n? Wake up. We're here."

Awoken by goo I feel sweat dripped down my forehead and I can sense I cried in my sleep. So did goo as he handed me a tissue I snatch it from his hand embarrassed wiping my tears off then getting out the car. Looking up at the building I notice it's different this time. It's a street with a lot of clothing shops, mostly closed since it was night but I could see a person walking to us.

A tall guy around my age probably older, black hair and a scar on his nose and lip. He had a long black cape and wore a suit. He immediately noticed me and started to approach us faster.

"Gun, goo, who's this?"
"Ah, this girl? This is our dear f/n! She's our little business partner." Goo introduced me , gun just ushered me to bow my head to Jake. I slowly did but found it weird.

"Nice to meet you, uh.."
"Jake Kim, but you can just call me Jake."
"I wasn't gonna call you your full name, what am I? A government worker?"
"I like her."

To be fair he was handsome, his smile and the way he talked could easily have me flustered. But this wasn't the time for that as I smiled back lightly. Soon they started talking about business, I just stood there and picked a few things up.
