Dylan Valdez had been dreading her senior year since the day she started High School freshman year. And now she was dreading it even more, her best friend Nini was gone, her boyfriend EJ at college and she had less than a year to decide her whole future – to choose between theatre and her other studies.
It was all too much for her already.
And it got so much worse when High School Musical 4 arrives at East High, and no matter how much Dylan didn't want a camera on her after Frozen, she finds herself getting thrown into the mix, this time as the lead in the movie (which for sure should've gone to her friend Gina Porter). Acting wasn't her thing, it was always dance, but the director insists on her having her.
And how could Dylan say no to Hollywood.
Her co-star, Mack, banters with her a lot, and it feels natural. The new boy finding solace in Dylan and her sarcastic remarks as he too is in way over his head at East High. Everyone is watching her, wondering what is happening with the two, even though Dylan's heart belonged to EJ forever. With EJ not at East High, and Dylan feeling more lonely than ever, it felt nice to have a friend in Mack – despite everyone thinking differently.
Dylan's life is about to change and she wasn't sure if it was gonna be for the better or for the worse.
In all honesty, all she really wanted to do was... scream.
