After, what Dylan Valdez considered to be, the most chaotic summer ever, Dylan was over the moon to be back in her own home, in her own bed, sleeping the days away.

Over the summer, Dylan was forced to get up early and engage in the stupid Camp activities. It was a lot, but it was a change. And with a change of scenery and relationships came a change of her hair. Dylan's best friend Nini Salazar Roberts had sat in the girl's bathroom on the last day of school and chopped Dylan's hair off. It was nice for the summer, but with everything that happened and the mess that the Frozen documentary caused – Dylan was still not looking at her social media comments – she deemed the haircut bad luck so she wanted another change.

Or maybe she was just freaking out. Senior year started tomorrow. It was her last year of High School – her last year in Salt Lake City before she headed off to college to do God knows what. And she was doing that all alone. Her best friend was gone, her boyfriend was in college, and she was 99.99% sure that her other two best friends, Ricky Bowen and Gina Porter, were dating.

Hence why she was now staring at her reflection in her mirror, her brown hair now darker and longer, from the excessive amount of extensions in it, bangs cut into her hair.

"Hey Dyl we're h—" Sebastian Valdez cut himself off when he opened the door to Dylan's bedroom. The girl had gone out and got her hair done without telling her father nor Evelyn, and so they were both surprised to come home from a movie to see their daughter looking completely different than usual. "What is this?"

"I got my hair done." Dylan shrugged.

"I can see that." Seb nodded.

"It's looks really pretty Dyl." Eve complimented her, moving to stand behind the girl, the two making eye contact through the mirror. "You're really pretty."

"Thanks Eve." Dylan smiled.

"What brought this change on?" Seb wondered.

"Just needed a change, old hair was bad luck." Dylan told them. "I also may or may not be having a slight existential crisis about school and my future."
