Jisoo shook her head sadly. "He won't be happy." She whispered. "Because this isn't his baby."
Jisoo nervously bit her thumbnail, staring into the distance as Soojin paced back and forth, at a loss for words after hearing her friend's response.
Jisoo felt like her world was spinning out of control. First, her relationship had unexpectedly become public knowledge, putting immense pressure on her and Bohyun. Then there were the complicated contract negotiations with YG Entertainment, leaving her uncertain about Blackpink's future. The whirlwind tour had finally come to an end, leaving Jisoo exhausted and needing a long break, acting offers pouring in, but instead of excitement, they left Jisoo feeling overwhelmed. And to top off the chaos, an unplanned pregnancy threatened to completely upend her life.
What was she going to do? The baby wasn't even her current boyfriend's child. As she thought about how to break the news to him, she found herself unable to think of him as 'her boyfriend' anymore. That fateful night with Haein had been the first time she ever acted impulsively, and now she was facing a consequence that would impact the rest of her life.
"Jisoo..." Soojin hesitantly approached, her voice filled with concern as she carefully sat down beside her friend on the cold, sterile stretcher. She searched for the right words to break the silence, looking at Jisoo's pale face. "What are you going to do?"
Jisoo took a deep breath in response, fighting back the tears that threatened to fall from her eyes. Her voice was barely above a whisper when she finally managed to choke out her answer.
"I don't know." She admitted softly, swallowing the lump in her throat. Her face turned pale, and she closed her eyes tightly as she felt an intense wave of nausea crash over her.
"Did you ever sleep with Bohyun?" Soojin asked curiously. Jisoo shook her head gently, feeling somewhat disappointed herself.
"No, nothing like that happened between us. Our dates mainly consisted of eating, playing video games together and watching anime." She replied with a sigh. Soojin couldn't help but find it odd.
"What a strange relationship you two had." She mused out loud. Jisoo hesitated for a moment, carefully choosing her words.
"It wasn't really a relationship, you know? We were just getting to know each other better. Because I wasn't over Haein." She confessed with a sad look in her eyes.
Soojin could see the struggle in her friend's eyes, and she decided to lend a sympathetic ear. With a gentle touch, she reached out to hold Jisoo's hand, offering comfort and support. Their eyes locked as Soojin asked Jisoo a question that had been on her mind.
"If you still love Haein so much, then why did you decide to end things between you?" Soojin inquired softly, genuinely curious about what had led her friend to leave someone she clearly still cared for deeply.
"I don't know, Soojin." Jisoo sighed, massaging her temples. "I was so focused on building my career, and the relationship was getting so serious..." She paused, remembering the long hours and tireless efforts she had put into achieving her dreams.
"And then there was Bohyun." She continued, her voice faltering. "He just sort of appeared, you know? He started talking to me, and Goeun said he was a good guy. She even encouraged him to pursue me. He seemed interested, so I figured why not give it a shot? But I never intended for things to get serious between us, which is why I didn't want to make it public." Jisoo shook her head in disbelief at the situation she now found herself in. "Oh my god, why am I going to do?" Soojin gently put her hand on Jisoo's shoulder and suggested.
"I really think you should talk to the father of your baby." Jisoo shook her head firmly, her eyes welling up with tears.
"I can't do this." She whispered, trying to hold back her emotions. She took a moment to gather herself before continuing. "I know Haein..." She said quietly, locking eyes with Soojin. "He won't abandon me. I'm sure once he finds out, he'll do everything he can for both me and the baby." Jisoo wiped away her tears with the back of her hand. Soojin furrowed her brows, trying to understand Jisoo's hesitation.
