The next day was terrible. Max sat across the room, and Maya sat next to me. He

thinking about the day before. I basically had my mind on him throughout the

During lunch I saw him but not with my friends, he was sitting down by himself. I
pulled him aside, some of his milk spilling on him
"What the hell!" he yelled, looking at his uniform with now spilled milk all over.
"What happened to you?" i replied "we kiss and now you won't even look me in the
eye?" i was genuinely curious.
"It's not because of that" he said "you didn't like it" he said, he saw right through me
"What?" I said "I did" and I lied,I was shocked that he knew.
"Well i think you didn't" he replied taking off the blazer of his uniform
"Why are you being like this?" i asked
"You want to know why?" He asked, a bit annoyed.
"Well of course you can't just kiss someone and ghost them" I reply.
"The reason i didn't answer is because I'm embarrassed" he said honestly.
"What? Why" I ask, ridiculous.
"We've only met 4 days ago" that is true.

"You don't believe in love at first sight?" I asked, was a bit shocked.
"No!" He yelled a bit concerned that I believed that.
"Thats stupid" I say infuriated.
"Your stupid" he replied, in a mad tone, I looked at him, very annoyed.

When the bell rang I was happy and calm. I could finally escape my friends.
I saw a flier about a drama club. When I went to sign it I saw Maya's name on it.
I thought about it, then put down the pen I had to use to write my name. Though, I
had joined the drama club before. I picked up the pen and wrote my name. I knew I
wasn't going to be there long. The rehearsal was after school tomorrow.

When I went home I checked my notifications. Nothing. He's viewed my texts but didn't
Reply. I texted Maya telling her what happened, I left out the kissing part. She replied quickly.

That's when Zack texted on our group chat without Max.
"Why is Max so depressed?" he texted, i knew he was joking.
"Because Avery rejected him" Maya texted, thats basically what i told her.

"Anyways tomorrow im going to drama club" Maya said as she put a drama emoji.
