CH-1 hectic day

AVA'S POV 

what a hectic day it was! I wish I could go home...have a shower and SLEEP. it's been almost 18 hours since I slept.no..was it 19? I don't know. I just want to sleep. ugh, I hate these files. I've been working on them forever but still, I can't seem to figure out how to do it!

 I fucking hate my life! I wonder how Janet does it. I'm jealous of her.

"avaa are you done yet" muttered Janet in her stupid sing-song voice. she was standing in front of my desk with that annoying smile of hers. I wish I could just disappear at that moment.

"not yet" I say making an annoying face and trying to shoo her away from my desk. why couldn't she just take the damn HINT! 

"you know Ava you are a good person...I don't know why you are always so cold to others. I wish you were a little bit considerate about others' feelings" Janet shook her head disapprovingly. now she made me feel like a pathetic loser...I admit it, I am a really cold person. I don't trust anybody because I am scared that they'll break my trust. I have had enough broken hearts for a lifetime.

"Sorry....what are you drinking though?" I mutter trying to change the topic as fast as I can.

"hot chocolate...want some? it's available near the canteen" Janet pointed her fingers toward the canteen acting as if I was a newcomer. I just rolled my eyes and got up from my seat. I have been working in this company for almost 3 years now and I knew that hot chocolate meant something special. The last time we got hot chocolate, we received a huge order and almost everyone's salary was raised. I was secretly happy, I mean who doesn't like money dude?

as I walked to the canteen I was greeted by people smiling and laughing. I knew that it was something good. I just knew it. as I waited in the line I heard some whispers coming from behind me.

like usually I am not a nosy person or anything but this time the news was different. it was shocking. 

"Lily I heard that Mr Ace made his son the new CEO of this company and that's why this is kinda like a welcoming party I guess..." the high-pitched voice spoke again.

"Also I heard that the new CEO is kinda hot...imagine dating that guy and being the heir to a fortune!" saying this the other two girls broke into fits of laughter and joked around. I mean whats so funny about dating a rich guy? Even I dated one until I realised how shallow he was.

that ugly son of a Mitch could not stop talking about anyone except himself. he was a jerk.

soon my turn came, I picked up my hot chocolate and went in the direction of my table, suddenly I bumped into someone.

"Are you ok?" a thick heavy voice spoke, gosh that voice made me go crazy. I looked up expecting some kind of prank but I only saw

he was standing so close to me. I on the other hand was on my back. he lent me his hand and touching it gave me an electric shock. I slowly got up. thankfully the hot chocolate fell on another guy. his face was covered with chocolate and his whole shirt was ruined. but I couldn't care any less, I just stared back at this dreamy figure in front of me and stopped myself from drooling.

a thick British accent came from his mouth. oh, his body was like a Greek god. so perfect. he leaned in closer and whispered into my ears

"I'm Andrew whats your name gorgeous"

this sent my stomach into knots... I didn't know anything I was tongue-tied. I slowly whispered back enough for only him to hear. 

"a-ava"

I suddenly looked around hoping it was not a dream. everyone was staring at me. I felt so embarrassed that I practically ran from the scene and ended up in the women's bathroom.

"Andrew" I whispered to myself like a lunatic 

"Andrew, Andrew, Andrew"
