True Colors (A pearlmethyst fanfic)

Chapter 3: New Love

   As I looked up at Pearl, I saw her shocked face. She was blushing, but leaned forward and whispered, " I love you too, Ame." I leaned closer and kissed her, right on the lips. Our Kiss lasted a while. After, we sat there on the floor embracing each other for what felt like one hundred years. 

Garnet POV

I walked into Steven's room to see Amethyst and Pearl hugging on the floor. I smiled and thought, looks like that went well. I assumed that they were together now, but to mess with them, I said, "Looks like you two got along nicely." They both blushed, and I winked at them. 

"I guess so," Pearl said, tearing up.

Amethyst POV:

   I was insanely happy that Pearl felt the same way. "Aww don't cry, P. I'm here for you," I said lovingly. "I-it's just that... I-I'm so happy that you love me, too. After all the mistakes I've made. I'm so lucky to have you," Pearl remarked. "Aww, P, everyone makes mistakes. What's important is that we learn from them," I replied. "I guess you're right. So umm, if you love me as well, then, umm... will you be my girlfriend?" She hesitated. "Of course, I will!" I said embracing her tightly. She kissed my forehead and I giggled. "Wait how are we going to tell Steven?" Pearl asked wearily. "No need, I've been standing here the whole time. I just got back the moment Pearl asked you out," Steven stated slyly. (Loll alliteration, yes Mrs. English teacher, I know grammar :))

   "Well, that takes the pressure off of us," I said jokingly. After Steven walked out, I told Pearl, "Meet me at the lighthouse tonight. Seven o'clock sharp." "Okay," Pearl said with a giggle. Her smile was the prettiest, and her laugh was the cutest. Everything about her I love, but I love her personality the most.

   I went to my room to get ready. I wanted to look nice for the occasion, so I put on a ruffle-trimmed lavender dress, and put my hair up into a bun, curling the side and front pieces I left out. I know Pearl loves me for me, but I wanted to look nice anyway. So, I finished the look with some detailed makeup, with on point eyeliner, and white flats. I couldn't wait to surprise her with what I had planned!

Pearl POV:

     I was excited to meet Amethyst on the hillside. I wanted to look nice, so I found a light sky-blue sundress with a waistband and a skirt that pleated at the bottom. It was a bit lower cut than I would have liked, but that's alright. (About knee-length.) I put on a silver necklace, with a special bracelet I had. I straightened my short, coral pink hair. When it was straightened, it came to about my shoulders, so I put it up into two Dutch Braids. I finished with some light-yellow eyeshadow, a bit of mascara, and some strawberry lip gloss. I looked at the clock, 6:30 it read. I had some time to finish up, since the lighthouse wasn't that far away. I found a white headband and put it on. (If someone would be interested in drawing how Pearl and Amethyst look like this for me, please do!!) 

OOOH YOU'RE GONNA LOVE WHAT'S COMINGGG!!
