Amethyst POV:
Today I was sitting on the couch, you know, thinking about life, Pearl walked by, and I suddenly felt nervous. "Amethyst?" she spoke, "mmm," I lazily replied. "Are you ready for the mission?" "Yup," I groaned, "let's go." I'm pretty good at hiding my feelings, but apparently not the best.
At the mission
"Pearl! Your hit!" Garnet exclaimed, "Got it!" Pearl replied. She poofed the corrupted gem with her spear, and I bubbled it. Steven was at Connie's, so he couldn't tag along. Later that day I felt... strange. For some reason, my mind decided to go around and watch Pearl do chores and help Steven with his training. She's so pretty, I thought to myself. It was a new feeling. A strange feeling, I'd never felt like this before. I tried to brush it off by helping Pearl with the dishes. I silently stepped over to the dishwasher and started to empty it. "Oh... Amethyst," she spoke, "you didn't have to do that but.... thanks for helping." She looked at me with a smile, but Garnet stood behind us with that same smile she gets meeting a new fusion. ".... Thanks, P," I said wearily. Idiot! I thought, you couldn't think of anything better to say than THAT?! I went outside when I was finished, only to be stopped by Garnet. "Amethyst," she demanded, "sit." I sat down nervously, waiting for her to say something. "So, tell me Amethyst, what is it that you see in Pearl?" she asked. "I- umm nothing! She-she's my friend!" I lied while looking down. Garnet pushed down her glasses, "Bull," she said. "Okay fine!" I yelled frustratedly, "she's really pretty and mature and she's super nice and graceful and I-..." I stopped and thought for a moment. Oh no I realized, I'm in love with Pearl! I clapped my hands over my mouth, turning a deep shade of violet. "So?" Garnet asked impatiently. "I-I um... I'm in love with her," I said shocking myself. I got up, walked past Garnet and went back inside. "Amethyst!" Steven yelled, "Wanna play some video games?" "Nah, I'm tired," I groaned, "and shouldn't you be in bed?" "Yeah, but I'm not tired and Pearl said I could stay up!" Steven argued. I blushed. Just hearing her name got me on edge. "Okay then, Stevo," I yawned. I walked into my room and found a bed that was lying around and sat on it. Thoughts ran through my head. They didn't last long though, eventually I fell asleep.
I had a nightmare. The same nightmare I've had for 5,000 years. "Hey! Pink Diamond ordered us to clean up!" "Yeah, runt, you're coming with us!" I struggled as the two Jaspers picked me up and threw me around. I woke up, warm tears running down my cheeks. I was in a tight embrace. "Amethyst!" Pearl yelled relieved, "You're alright! What happened?" "Th-they were going to take me away!" I said through tears. "Shh, shh, it's alright. Do you want to talk about it?" Pearl whispered softly.
Pearl POV:
I heard cries coming from Amethyst's room. I was worried, so worried I couldn't find my way around. "Amethyst! Amethyst!" I yelled in a worried tone. "...no, no please!" I heard in the distance. After a while of searching, I finally found her. "Amethyst wake up!" I panicked. She woke up after about five minutes of me shaking her trying to get her awake, and then I hugged her. Tightly. "H-huh?" she stuttered. "Amethyst! You're alright! What happened?" I asked relieved. "Th-they were going to take me away!" she managed to say through sobs. She hugged me tighter. "Shh, shh. It's alright. Do you want to talk about it?" I whispered softly. "N-no but thanks, P. I'm going to go back to sleep, but... could you maybe... stay here? Just to make sure it doesn't happen again." She asked with a sincere smile. I blushed a little. "Of course," I said, still blushing.
