======================================
The Lich, still in his corner, crackled in delight, feasting off the dismay of Finn, Billy's fear and Jake's rising anger. His grin was as mischievious as can be, much to Prismo's annoyance.
Billy, meanwhile, was now staring daggers at his old rival inhabiting his own body, his fear subsiding for a moment as a more...raged expression drew on the old hero's face. The Lich smirks at this.
"How unfortunate. Is it not nice to know that you failed everyone in Ooo with your foolish retirement? Better yet, you have your successor to thank for this," The Lich pointed at the droopy human, crackling a bit as he peeled bits of the skin he wore off before continuing. "After all, I couldn't have done it without him. Thanks, Finn." Then, within a moments notice, a clean slice is struck right through the Lich's skin, slicing off parts of his inhibiting body which revealled a skeletal figure, much to The Lich's annoyance.
"Fool. You will pay for your insolence!" The Lich stood up, and prepared to engage with his striker, Billy, who now had Nöthung in his hands. Billy stood tall, now completely unafraid of his rival despite the close encounters in recent times. Although his aging body posed him as nothing more than fragile, his centuries of heroing skills were not to be underrestimated, which The Lich knew too well of. And so, as a fight seems to be imminent, suddenly, a wish is made that puts a permanent halt to the potential violence.
"I wish for The Lich in this room to disappear forever!" A young, determined voice shouted out to the Wishmaster on the walls, which he complies. A slight cry is heard from The Lich before his body seemingly dematerializes.
"NO!" He ushered out, as the skeletal figure attempts to lunge for Finn who had made the wish though it was already too late. He could feel his body being reduced to atoms by the second and as a last ditch effort, attempts to go for the killing blow on Billy, though a simple uppercut to his jaw by an all too familiar shapeshifting dog was enough to put The Lich in his place. Seconds later, The Lich's essence is reduced to nothing more, the only hint or trace of his existence being the skin of Billy that was left behind.
Billy turned his attention to Finn, who, despite putting a stop to this version of The Lich, still had a lot of things weighing on his mind, most notably, being the indirect cause of alternate Billy's death. The boy sat down quietly, as Jake went to make his own wish to Prismo, which was just a sandwich. "Of all things..." Billy thought. The aging hero went to sit next to Finn, as he gently laid his hand on the boy's back.
"You okay, Finn?" Billy's attempt to lighten the boy's mood was met with an unwaving solumn expression instead. "No...I- I don't think I am, Billy. What The Lich said...I got you killed! I...I didn't...sorry. It's just...hard knowing that a version of you was merc'd over my dumb mistakes." The boy went quiet as he continued looking down on the floor, his guilty conscious refusing to let his head lift up even an inch. Billy, admittedly, was a bit sad to see this. It reminded him of his worst days as a hero.
"So uh...you guys wanna check out some of the other realities I've been monitoring? I assume that's the reason you guys came to me in the first place, right?" Prismo spoke up, wanting to ease the tension in the room caused by The Lich no doubt. As upset as Finn was, he nodded his head as he got up to sit by Jake. Prismo then summons a hot spa for the duo to kick back in and a couple of drinks for them. Prismo then turns his attention to Billy.
"Sorry, guy. I can't fit you in the tub, but if you'd like," As Prismo was talking, he suddenly pointed a finger to Billy's way, surprising the giant. A beam fired upon him, much to Finn and Jake's disbelief. "Billy!" Finn exclaimed.
