Chapter 15

It was already past 12 a.m. when Joy became hungry and decided to order herself some fast food, and the food was already on the table in his living room as she took off her bra wearing Sungjae's shirt along with his boxers—she decided to laze around his living room watching a series on Netflix, hoping that her boyfriend would still be able to come home.

She sat with her foot on the table, the box of fries and burgers on her lap, her eyes fixed on the television, when her phone rang. She picked it up from the table and let go of the food she was holding after reading the caller id "Woo" it was Cha Eunwoo her bestfriend, after two months..... It had been two months since her best friend had come to apologize to her.

Joy felt deep down that she couldn't let Eunwoo leave her life because they'd been through so much together growing up, so she anticipated him to call and hash things out, but she didn't expect it to be two months later; she wanted it to be sooner, perhaps because Eunwoo was really struggling.

Taking a deep breath, she slid the call answer she didn't speak since she only heard breathings on the other side "Hey soo" whispered eunwoo "It's me, I know it's late but... can we meet? I have to tell you something"

"Okay woo just text me the place" Joy said after hanging up the call and standing up to change her clothes

She didn't hesitate to say yes to meeting him; after all, Eunwoo had been a big part of her life; he had been there when everyone else had turned their back on her. After changing her clothes, she went out, leaving her phone on the table with Yook Sungjae calling.

When Joy walked into the cafe, she noticed Eunwoo sitting at one of the tables next to the glass window, looking out the window as if he was deep in thought, so she went there and took her seat, only for Eunwoo to turn to look at her- shock was an understatement when Joy saw his face he obviously lost some weight he looks terrible but he is still Cha Eunwoo still handsome even though he looks stressed

"Hey Soo," he began as Joy nodded and pursed her lips into a thin line. "I apologize for asking you to meet late, but this is the only time I thought I could reach you."

"It's fine woo, I've been waiting for you to contact me"

"I'm so sorry for what happened" he murmured, almost evading her gaze, "I don't know what went on my mind that's why it took me this long to approach you I didn't know what to reason on why I did that to you, I'm sorry soo I let my feelings took over and ruined our friendship"

Joy understood when she looked at him and felt his sincerity in every word he said. She understands Eunwoo because she knows him well "It's fine Eunwoo, I understand that what you did was just because of how you were feeling at the time and I didn't want our friendship to be ruined— I think two months was enough for us to think things through and I'm happy that you decided to contact me" she is still willing to forgive him over and over because she is his bestfriend and nothing can change that.

Eunwoo smiled, feeling the weight lifted from his shoulders, and sighed as he realized Sooyoung is still Sooyoung, still so kind and forgiving "Thank you soo"

Sooyoung returned home, bringing the flower Eunwoo had given her as part of his apology; when she entered, she realized Sungjae was home because she saw his coat on the couch; she placed the flowers on the kitchen counter and hurriedly went to his room, where she found him sleeping "That's strange," she thought as she went to his dressing room to change her clothes, then put on his clothes and joined him in bed.
