Chapter 11

"This is very unusual. For decades our company is doing well and now what? we're starting to lose thousands of stocks and our business partners are backing out!" Mr. Cha, Eunwoo's father shouted harshly throwing the folder full of debts across his office "It's impossible! how come I never knew about this debts? it's millions, is there a person here in the company sabotaging me since then?!"

Eunwoo just stood there looking down the floor biting his lower lip, suddenly having the idea why their company are going downhill. Yook Sungjae he remembered his words before leaving him last month on his penthouse. It has been a month and he decided to quit as a chief financial officer in Joy's company, leaving his resignation letter on her secretary's table. He was too ashamed to show his face to his bestfriend, he expected her to sign his resignation letter but when she really did-- he felt his heart breaking into pieces.

He let his jealousy control over him losing Joy in the process, his only bestfriend which he loves for years.

"Eunwoo, can't you do something about this?! you just recently left the Park's and you didn't yet achieve anything here in your own company!"

He heaved a sigh looking at his father ranging in anger "I'm sorry but I'll do what I can Abeoji"

"Go ahead. Do what you can, risk your life if it's needed!" his father shouted leaving him slamming the door shut

"Damn it" he cursed gripping through the papers on his hand, list of their investors backing out.

A ring interrupted the silence, he felt a lump on his throat as the name of the caller appeared, who has the potential to save his company from getting bankrupt. He slid the call accepting it as he gulped

"Kim Taehyung"

"When will you be back?" Joy whined at the other lined while she was fumbling through her pillow "I miss you already" she added pouting cutely at the camera

"I will be back in the next three days Sooyoung-ah, we will start preparing for our wedding" Sungjae said caressing her face on his phone "and I miss you too"

Sungjae is away for one week working to make himself more big in the business industry acquiring more business partners around the world and Joy couldn't stop herself from missing him, continuously calling him for a video call whining on how she misses him already as if she isn't busy herself. A month had passed again and their status was still a blur but they are both enjoying what they have acting like a couple but Sungjae, he wouldn't settle for something like that he's still thinking of a way on how to officially ask her to be his.

"You have to stay on my house for days after you come back to korea!"

"You're very clingy Joy, I love it"

"I don't know why I am being like this, I'm not even like this to my past lover" she said suddenly giggling at how Sungjae's face turn sour at the mere mention of her past lover "Are you jealous?"

"I'm not. You should not talk about that guy when I'm there Sooyoung-ah"

"Alright. but can you sing me a song? I want to sleep already" she said yawning making herself more comfortable around her bed while putting her phone on the side table of her bed as Sungjae leaned his back on the headboard watching her

"You really love my voice?"

"Yeah, I really love it so you have to sing for me everyday" She replied closing her eyes hugging the pillow close to her body, he chuckled at that starting to sing her his favorite song 'Thanks' and after awhile he felt her lightly snoring on the other line "Aigoo. Park Sooyoung the first verse isn't even done yet you're already sleeping" he muttered caressing her face through the phone screen "I don't know what you did to me..... to be this head over heels for you in two months" he added smiling through the screen as he continued watching her sleep for awhile, he chuckled and ended the call

He dialed Minhyuk's number who was currently on work to bring Cha Eunwoo and his family down "Hyung" he uttered his eyes piercing to nothing "What's the news?" he asked

"A good news, be thankful that I've managed to make their business partners back out from their company after knowing that they'll get a benefit from it since they'll be joining your company. They are not very loyal so I suggest you to be careful with them--"

"I'm not planning to let them join my company, I'm going to send them to another company. I wouldn't want to dirty my surroundings"

"You've got a point there" Minhyuk stated "I also found out that Mr. Cha Eunsong, Eunwoo's father is very obsessed with gambling and has millions of debts to his investors, and when his great grandfather started their business it was said that he scammed a lot of people"

"Their company wasn't from their own sweat then"

"Exactly. Cha Eunsong is raging with anger when I anonymously send him the list of their investors backing out and the company's debts that is almost a billion" Minhyuk said "You still didn't told me the reason for this Sungjae-ah, you're not the type of person to easily ruin someone's life"

"I'll tell you next time, Minhyuk hyung"

"Arrasseo. I'll call you after a week kid... and also you should go with us sometimes to hang out?"

"I'll try, I'm very busy nowadays" Sungjae chuckled suddenly missing his hyungs who has been there since he was still a teenager "But I promise Minhyuk Hyung I'll go!"

"You should, take care of yourself I'll call you again." they bid their goodbyes, setting his phone to his bedside table flopping himself to his bed as he stared at the ceiling

He's not feeling bad at all, Cha Eunwoo ows him a lot. He's never gonna let him go near Joy again, ever.
