Nessa's breathing turned ragged as she blinked and realized Cassidy was gone, the office door slammed shut. "That was the blackout you mentioned, huh?" she asked weakly, trying to stop shaking in fear.

"No, it was the purple-out I mentioned," Glitchtrap replied, barely paying attention as it stared at the door it had slammed shut.

"You completely lack the ability to take anything seriously, don't you?" Nessa asked, attempting focus on being annoyed.

"Well done, you've caught me," it still didn't seem to be paying attention to her.

Nessa went and stood in front of the door. "You're ignoring me now? What's your problem?"

Glitchtrap chuckled and motioned for her to shush. "Be quiet, Vanny, I'm trying to figure something out over here. Let me think."

"As if you've given me a moment to think since you popped into existence. Why should I extend you that courtesy?"

"Because! If I want, I can force you to blackout again, so shut up," Glitchtrap said before humming softly. "Isn't that supposed to be the intern?"

"Yeah, why?" Nessa asked, forgetting the first half of its statement.

"Well, she's not," Glitchtrap muttered, almost to itself.

"You're going to wait for me to ask you to elaborate, aren't you?" Nessa grumbled with a sigh.

"Huh?" Glitchtrap blinked, before shaking its head and staring at Nessa as though it had genuinely forgotten about her. "RIGHT! Yes! It seems like her brother was actually supposed to be the intern, not her. IN FACT, it almost seems as though she managed to hack into the system and change it to her! Brilliant thing. It's a shame we'll have to kill her instead of recruit her." It began to do cartwheels again, though still humming and looking slightly thoughtful.

"No! We do not have to kill her!" Nessa exclaimed.

"Hmm... aren't you supposed to be checking on Ballora?" Glitchtrap asked, pausing in a handstand.

"No. That's not what we're talking about right now," Nessa insisted stubbornly.

"I'll ONLY discuss this situation if it's on the drive to Circus Baby's," Glitchtrap sprang out of the handstand with a flip and regained its smirk.

"I have to at least finish my shift," Nessa protested.

"Uh-huh. As if you wouldn't be pacing around or laying on the floor for hours talking to me. Besiiiiides, I'VE already arranged for you to take the rest of the day OFF!"

Nessa stared at the gleeful entity, trying to think of literally any another excuse. "There's no reason for me to go anyway."

"There's PLENTY of reasons to go! Besides, if you go TODAY, you could end up saving someone's life!" Glitchtrap declared with a wink.

Her face darkened. "Is that a threat?"

Glitchtrap waved its hand dismissively. "NO, not at all! I'm very open about when I want someone dead. It's just that one of your brothers is rather STUPID is all!"

"What are you going on about now?"

It smirked at her. "Why don't you go find out?" Then it disappeared, for the first time leaving her in peace and quiet, though Nessa knew it was still lurking in her brain.

She considered her options for a moment. At this point, no matter what she did, she was a pawn. If she went, it would most likely serve some greater purpose. Then again, Glitchtrap wasn't forcing her to go, so it couldn't be that important, could it?
