Amidst the roiling storm,
You let your ship set sail.
Left me to be thrown overboard
And harpooned by serpent tounges
For I've been lead astray by the siren's sinful serenade.
Now the currents have shifted,
The tide estranged,
Bonds like nets once woven together strong
Will tangle, twist then drift away.
As I set out on uncharted sea,
Memories shipwrecked
In the deepest caverns of the Mariana Trench
Begin to resurface by the shore.
Memories of Salthill sands and squawking seagulls,
99s and chocolate Twirls
And castles made for plastic ponies
Each molded with a bucket and spade.
I will rise from the Mariana Trench.
Unshackled, untethered, I'll wait for you.
Though our scales have a different shimmer,
The same crimson fluid flows through each of our rivers.
Stay by my side as I help you though this voyage.
