Chapter Eighteen: A new friend

I don't know what's going on with Ashley. But I want to desperately help him. All these crazy women claiming to be his girlfriends. I wonder if he did or said something to convince them that they were his girlfriend. Or, maybe they were one night stands. I was the only one left standing. "Joey? Come sit with me?" Ashley asks. I smile and sit down next to him. He puts his arm around me and I lie my head on his shoulder. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder. We sit like this for hours on end. Just sitting together. A boyfriend and a girlfriend. Sitting together. The happiest moment ever. I know it sounds stupid but to me it's the best feeling ever. I guess I've fallen asleep because Ashley was gently shaking me awake, saying, "Joey.. Joey.. Time to get up Joey.." I rub my eyes and stretch out my arms and legs. I moan/ yawn in the process. I look around and there's three other girls staring at me. I imeadelty recognize Sammi. With her pale skin and long blond, and black hair underneath. "Mornin' sunshine!" Sammi sings. I continue to rub my eyes and recognize Juliet and Ella, smiling at me yet with a evil look in their eyes. Like we're about to do something that will feel like torture to me. "We're going shopping today!" Ella screams throwing her hands in the air with excitement. "Oh god.." I say quietly. I looked at Ashley. He was grinning. "You planned this didn't you?" I said accousingly. He chuckled. "Just a little bit of it anyway. You need to get out more. Make some friends." I let out a heavy sigh. I hate shopping. I can never find anything I like unless it's at Halloween. "Fine. You are so dead when I get back." He chuckles again and smacks my butt as I get up.

I'm sitting the back of Sammi's car with Juliet with Ella in the passanger seat in front. I don't bother to try and make small talk. I just listen to what's playing on Sammi's iPod. Sick Bubblegum by Rob Zombie. One of my favorites. "So, Joey, how's it going with Ash?" Ella asks with a slight Engilsh accent. "Fine. Couldn't be better slash happier." I didn't want to tell her what happend before they got on the buss. "That's great, and besides, you two are like the cutest couple ever." That made me smile. "Yeah, he won't shut up about you. Constenantly talking about you." Juliet chimmed in.

"Really?" Was all I could say.

"Hell yeah! He's constantely telling everyone how cute you are and his whole face lights up when he does." I blushed big time. He talks about me? When I'm not around to hear? I am going to make him squeel every word he said.

"What does he say? Anything bad?"

"Bad? Joey, he's head over heels for you. You know.. The usual. She's so beautiful. Or something like I can't live a day without her. She completes me. I vow not to go out with other women other than Joey. And, I'm not lying when he, Purdy Porn himself said it." Sammi says. She even mimmics his tone of voice when she said it.

"I.. I just wish he coulda said to me. He if really loves me, he woulda said to my face and not to you not that I don't believe it." I say. I knew he couldn't be nailed down, with being the womanizer in all. I wonder why Ash is even subjecting me to this torture called shopping. We make it to the mall and find a shop filled with all kinds of pretty dresses but none that suits me. While Sammi, Juliet, and Ella are looking for thier dresses, I manage to ditch them to find a Hot Topic somewhere in the mall. My phone rings, it's Sammi. "Hello?" I say in my "normal" voice. "Where are you?!" She shrieks. "Lost. I went to find a Hot To-" She cut me off with, "Lost?! Joey, you where supposed to stay with us! Ash is going to kill me if you're not with us. We told him to meet us in the center of the mall at noon. Can you do that?" She said. "The center at noon. Got it." The line went dead. Ash is going to kill her if I'm not with them? What'd she mean by that? It was almost noon anyway, so I start to make my way to the center of the mall like she said. And wouldn't you know it? Ash was standing at the center of the mall with three sad looking girls. Wait, those girls are Juliet, Ella, and Sammi! Ash looks really pissed off. What'd he do to them?
