Chapter Twenty Two: Love Isnt Fair.

Ashley's Point Of View

"Ashley... I honest to God don't remember you." She said with such grave in her voice she ment it. She really doesn't rember me... What am I going to fucking do?! I can't force her to remember something that she doesn't remember. The only thing I can do now is.. Hope that she remembers on her own. I walk out the room with my head hung low. The guys notice. Big time. "Ashley? You okay?" Andy asks. I sigh. "No. She really dosen't remember me or us. Keeps sayin' she knows our names and that's it. Nothing deeper." Their faces go completely white. Sammi's goes whiter than usual like she's about to faint. Joey and Sammi were like best friends. God if we didn't fight this morning this wouldn't have happend. I would still have my Joey. My friend. My girlfriend. Now she's gone. All because of some God damn fight. What will I do with myself? I can try and get her back and I don't wanna push her. Then I realize I'm crying again. Damn, I'm becoming a softie. Then, I hear singing. Not Andy's or Sammi's but.. Joey's?

"I open my lungs dear, I sing this song at funerals, no rush.

These lyrics heard a million times just plush.."

We stare at her in shock. She knows The Mortician's Daughter. She continues with her beatiful voice.

She ended the song just at the second verse. Everyone was crying at her singing, except Andy. Sammi was balling her eyes out whlie Jinxx was holding her. I wanted to run over and hug her tightly so bad... But I know she would just freak out and push me away. I end up walking away from her and the guys and out of the house. I run to my car only to be stopped in my tracks by someone saying, "Ashley!" I turn to see Joey standing in the doorway. She was crying. Because I ran away from her? "Ashley, I'm sorry. I truly am. I remember everyone's names. I don't remember how we met or.. Or how we became to be." She says.

"So.. You don't know anything about me?"

"Sadly, no. But I'd love to get to know you again. Make new memories... Happy ones.."

"But.. I know everything about you. All the memories we made are still in my head. I don't think I can bear that process again. The first time was hard enough.." She doesn't remember the coma. The suicide attempts. The cheating. The lying. She sees the pain showing in my eyes, like I was trying to hide it.

"But.. I need to re-remember those memories. Even the bad ones... Please Ashley? I really do want to "remember" you again. Or at least get to know you." I don't know how to respond. I look at her again and find the guys hudled around around her, all smiling, even Sammi and Juliet.

"I don't know.. I just don-" She cuts me off by crashing her lips onto mine. She catches me off gard so much that my eyes are still wide open when she departs. "How about now?" She asks in a very shy little voice. Like she was trying to be innoncent. "It.. Can't hurt. Some you'll have to do on your own. You understand that don't you?" I say hoping she understands. "Of corse. Some are better off alone." She plants a kiss on me again, and this time I manage to close my eyes and kiss back. Everyone aws us. I break the kiss this time. "Let's get started?" It sounded more like a question than a statement. "Duh." She says like her old self again. As we walk to my car, I naturally go to take her hand then realize she doesn't remember us dating. But I take it anyway and look at her for a reaction. She just smiles and wraps her hand around mine.
