☀︎︎ 6 Months Later

The warm spring breeze caressed my face, the scent of floral heavily encapsulated in its wisps as I jogged. This was the part of my morning routine I enjoyed the most. The chirp of the birds, the sound of sprinklers at work, the feel of the paved cement colliding with the bottom of my well-cushioned Nikes. The mornings were so still and calm. Only a few cars or dog walkers would occasionally pass by. Everyone in their own little world. It was just the kind of moment I needed before the hustle and bustle of the day, especially since I'd been spending most of my time in the studio working on my long awaited album.

I was excited because I was finally done with my first single and from the reactions I received teasing parts of it on live, it was definitely going to be a hit. Even Brianna agreed and she's probably only truly loved two songs from my previous EPs. Though I take her critiques like a grain of salt cause the lady doesn't really love much of anything, claiming that the word love is used to loosely in her opinion.

As I turned the corner to my apartment I slowed my pace to a light jog. Cautiously observing my surroundings, I crossed the parking lot and finally entered the cool air of my building. I released a breath, giving a wave to the front desk receptionist as I made my way to the elevators and up towards my apartment. I had moved from the small little complex I had previously lived in and with my slowly increasing income was able to afford a few more luxuries for myself.

Well, Lex has probably enjoyed the amenities and increased luxuries more than I have but I couldn't complain seeing as we were now roommates after all. It only made sense considering we were both on and off the road quite a bit. Plus, this way we got to really enjoy what LA had to offer, including a dynamic view from our 12th floor suite.

I pulled my phone from my pocket checking my health stats and steps, quite pleased with the results. Even though I was now in my music bag, I wanted to make sure to maintain my shape and keep in prime dance condition. As the elevator took its time moving from floor to floor stopping every now and again to let people on and off, I decided to busy myself via my socials. Now that my first single was wrapped, Brianna had begun pushing me to get active on social media, which was the main reason I'd been going live most recently. Though I did still avoid Instagram like the plague, I found solace in TikTok as an alternative social poison instead. It was also the only way I could get Brianna to lay off me. I went through some of the new comments, occasionally responding and liking things as I scrolled before deciding to look through my for you page.
