Already told myself that

☀︎︎ Two Weeks Later ☽

Adjusting the corset of my vintage, blush-colored, off-shoulder mini dress, I exited the black SUV. With a delicate hand I brushed down the tulle of my garment as a small gathering of paparazzi flicked away. I flashed a small smile, making my way towards the enclosed entrance along side the other notable guests and away from their flashing lights. I still wasn't convinced this was a good idea, especially with no backup but I was already here. It was too late to turn back now.

Keeping in mind what Megan and Lex had said I took a breath as I walked through the dark entrance and into the main ballroom. My pace came to a slow still as I took in the extravagant details of the party. Whimsical pastels and oversized florals were draping the space, the fairy lights danced airily across the ceilings and through faux trees and statues, a complement, yet, contrast to the dark night outside. White sheer drapery intertwined with blooming mesh flowers intermingled with the lights around the the edges of each cocktail table covered in white cloth. As waiters weaved in and out offering drinks and hors d'oeuvres to the numerous guests.

Allowing my gaze to drift I took notice to the simulated replica of a sunset that lit a far wall, the others casting images of field of flowers bringing together the cottage core meets Disney princess aesthetic together. I slowly walked through the space admiring all the small touches and exquisite details she'd put into the evening. From the table and chair legs that were covered in fake soil and flowers to the single white roses and tulips that were placed in a vase on each table, and let's not forget the live mini orchestra that played scores you'd expect in a fairytale. Their instrumentation mocked singing birds and sunshine with the essence of true love's first kiss. I wouldn't have been surprised if Snow White appeared singing and twirling through the enchanted venue. Ariana had really gone all out.

Accepting the glass of Chardonnay offered I took a small sip scanning the crowd in awe of all of the gorgeous chattering people before finally finding Ariana in the midst. Without much thought I made my way over to the blonde, offering a smile when she took notice of my approach. "Happy Birthday, legend!" I greeted the crowned beauty with a curtesy. With a giggle she pretended to tap my shoulders with her scepter before engulfing me in a hug with an excited squeal. "You came!!! I'm so glad!" She said excitedly. "Of course." I said with a nod and closed mouth smile. "Oh! And thank you for the birthday flowers! They were so gorgeous! I put them in my foyer immediately." I gave a light laugh waving her off. "I'm just glad you liked them! I'm sure you've received a plethora of great gifts."
