HOT CROSS BUNSThe morning after was quiet, or just for Karsyn for the most part. Yasmine had been up early from before the sun began to rise, sitting in her bed rethinking everything that had happened yesterday evening. She knew she'd talk about it with the other but right now she had to worry about pulling herself together to get to work.
Going through her usual morning routine, hopping in the shower went from a usual 10 minutes to nearly 30. She was doing her best to collect her thoughts and find a way to push them back until she could find the time to really talk about them.
Karsyn on the other hand was sound asleep on the couch, after a lot of twisting and turning in her sleep her once near ponytail was well, no longer a ponytail. When she'd finally woken up, she was greeted with Yasmine sitting at the small table on the other side of the room with the food Karsyn had prepared for her.
Sitting down across from her, Karsyn decided it was best to sit in silence for a bit. Not wanting to stress the girl anymore than she probably already was. Of course she wanted to ask about what had happened yesterday but she didn't-
"I'm sorry about freaking you out yesterday, I was just, I had a memory come back to me from back at The Ranch. It was, about Chicago."
Karsyn knew Chicago was a sensitive topic, what had happened to her left them all shaken up but not anymore than it did Yasmine. Karsyn's face softened, putting her hand over her friends before speaking.
"It's ok, it's been a while since everything has happened, yes, but you never let know that it affected you. It's ok to be upset even years later, just know that if you ever need any of us that we're here Yas."
Yasmine looked up from her plate, her friend gave her a small smile which she returned while letting out a soft chuckle.
"Wow Karsyn, I think that's the first time I've ever heard such wise words from you." She joked, Karsyn laughed sitting back in her chair.
"Oh please, besides Scarlet, I'm like the smartest one here!" She gloated, Yasmine rolled her eyes before picking up her half finished plate.
"Oh sure! Whatever you say."
Soon enough Yasmine had to be on her way to the bakery, Karsyn on the other hand had decided to go bother Dylan with whatever she was doing. The two said their 'see you laters' and parted ways, this time on her walk to the bakery, Yasmine didn't pay much attention to the noise of Jackson, more so it was only the noise of her thoughts that she could hear in that moment.

Yasmine's day consisted of mostly deliveries, it being her first day it was all new to her. The task wasn't hard, all she had to do was match the house to the order, not difficult at all. The difficult part was the distance, some of the houses were on the complete opposite side of Jackson from where the bakery was.
