My name is Jasina Carnell. I live in a small town called Rastwell. I am African American, short about 4'9, have medium lengthed curly dark brown hair, and I am 16 years old (almost 17). I live with my mom and two younger siblings the youngest my sister Jakina age 13 (I dont know why my mom named her that when it sounds just like my name) and the middle my little brother Josiah age 15.
You might be wondering were my dad is. He and my mom divorced when I was about 14. Now he lives in Washington D.C. We dont see him to often but sometimes he comes and visits. But anyway I hope you've gotten to know me a little better before we jump off into my crazy life.

"Jasina, wake up so your not late for school". My mom said.
"Ughm...".
I strugled to lift my head from my pillow. I looked at my clock and it was 7:35. Sadly I need to get up so I can get to school by 8:30. I slowly crawled out of bed and walked to my mirror.
"This isnt a pretty sight".
As my little brother Josiah walked by my door I could hear him reply.
" It never is".
I ignored him and went to the bathroom and got dressed in my "uniform". I ran down stairs and went to the table to eat. Everybody was already eating, other than momma.
"Y'all need to hurry up so I can drop y'all off at 8:15 since I have a meeting at 8:30 this morning". Mom said.
"Yes ma'm" we all said in unison.
When I sat down and momma turned around I reached over and hit Josiah on the back of his head wich caused his face to land in his cereal. We all got in to momma's van and started on our way.
"Bye momma, love you". I said when she dropped me off.
"Love you too".
I walked to the front doors of ORA (Ohio Rastwell Academy) since Im not going to be late and saw my bestie Lilly.
"Hey, girl" she said.
"Hi".
"So have you talked to Tom lately?" I asked.
"Sorry, no I havent talked to YOUR boyfriend".
"Look I just want to talk to him".
"You don't need to be looking for him, he'll come to you if he needs to see you".
Sigh*.
The bell rang and we went to our first class. Nobody really likes the teacher Mrs. Well but I have no problem with her especially since she's my next door neighbor and seems really nice. The bell rang and as me and Lilly walked out the class I saw Tom. He walked over to us.
"Hello ladies".
"Hey babe" he said to me.
He grabed my hand. I looked over at Lilly and she didnt look to happy.
"Its time for lunch...so can you guys um stop so I don't loose my breakfest before I'm able to eat lunch". Lilly said acting like she was gonna throw up.
I ignored her and jost got closer to Tom.
"Oh the boys are waiting for me today so I gotta go" Tom said.
"Wait a minute you said you'd eat with me today".
"I know babe but I...the guys...".
"Forget it".
I let go of his hand and went over and pulled Lilly towards the cafeteria.
I could hear him calling after me. We went in got our food and sat at our usual spot.
"Hey guys".
"Hey Diana".
Diana is my other best friend. Then Diana's boyfriend Kevin came and sat with us.
"Hey Kevin" I said since I know Lilly wouldn't because for some reason she doesn't like him.
"Hey ladies" he said.
It was silent for a moment.
"Um Kevin will you get me something to drink, and you can take your time". Diana said.
"Oh...um ok".
What is your problem Lilly"?!? We said in unison.
"What do you mean, I dont have one".
"Clearly you do" I said,"first you have a problem with Tom and now Kevin!"
"Just because you dont have a boyfriend dosent mean you can hate on ours"!Diana said.
Now let me tell you I did not go that far that kinda drew the line. I could see the furry in Lilly's eyes.
"You know what you can just shut up Diana...I rather be single then in a relationship like you Kevins all you do is boss him atound and take him for granet!"
"Oh really".
Diana stood up and yelled across the cafeteria,
"Kevin come here real quick".
Kevin slowly walked twards the table as the whole room went silent other than small wispers. Once he reached the table I knew it wasnt going to be anything good.
"Hey um what do you think about our relationship"?
"Why"?
"Just answer the question". Lilly said.
"No, Kevin don't answer the question and you two need to shut up and calm down, yeah I was in this stupid argument but y'all need to end it, Im sorry I snaped at you Lilly"! I said.
I got up. The bell rang then Kevin and I walked out of there having a nice conversation while Lilly and Diana trailed quietly behind us.
