Its about 4:24.School lets out around 3:30. Most likely I will be questiined in my ware abouts. I need to get home before it gets any later.
"Mom are you home"?
"Yes".
I went upstairs to my room. My calender says I only have two more days until school lets out.
Where's my oil sheen?
"Jakina"!
"What"?!?
"Where's my oil sheen"?
"How am I supose to know?"
"So you don't know where it is?"
"I didnt say all dat", "why dont you ask Josiah"?
"Did he take it"?
"I ain't no snitch".
Whith that said she walked off. I went out to the hallway and knocked on Josiah's door. He opened it.
"What do you want"?
"Im gonna cut to the chase, do you have my oil sheen"?
"Why would I have it"?
"Stop avoiding the question and just give it to me."
When Jakina walked out of her room to go down stairs Josiah looked around me yelled
"Snitch"!
Without turning around Jakina said, "I aint no snitch".
Finally he gave it to me.
"Why did you even need it"?
"I gotta impress the ladies".
I just looked at him, and he got the hint. I went into my room and when I was about to start on my hair,
"It's time to eat"!
When we all were at the table we prayed over our food then started to eat.
My mom then made a purposed interrupting cough.
"Um...will you guys stop eating and listen for a sec.".
It got quiet.
"I've been meaning to tell you guys that your dad is getting married. Now it was dead silent.
"What are you talking about, how is dad getting maried wehn you two are going to get back together"? Jakina said.
Momma's eyes started tearing up just a little.
"Just...just wait and let me finish.
"Um...well he wants, I mean he has asked for you three to go to D.C. so you can meet her before the weding".
Jakina started to say something but momma cut her off.
"And when we go back for the wedding you guys will be staying there for the next school year".
"Wait a minute what"? I said trying to keep all my emotions on the down low.
"Look I know this is alot for you guys to digest but...I...your dad...you guys."
"No I aint moving to D.C. to live with dad and leave all my friends and Tom!"
Its to late now I've lost my cool. While I blurted out reasons why I wasnt leaving, Jakina chimed in yelling about how momma and dad were still ment for each other.
While all this was going on we forgot all about Josiah sitting beside momma not saying anything with a blank expression on his face.
"That is enough, first of all you guys are going to your fathers weding then second of all you will be living with your father for the time in the school year and that is it period end of discussion.!."
