Chapter 9

-WHAT THE FUCK?

As I slowly wake up, my blurry vision starts to focus and I can clearly see Tyler in front of me.

-What the hell do you want?? I ask him, furious.

-Jeeze calm your tits Ariana. I was just here to talk to you.

-Oh so you’re done with Jade now and want me back? How clever.

-Oh my god can you let me explain?

-Yeah…sure, but not in here.

I get off my bed, grab a blue Roxy hoodie on my doorknob and leave the bedroom, Tyler following me. We sat at the kitchen table and he begins telling his nonsense.

-Look, he said, with a soft voice. I never had the chance to talk to you about what happened between us. I have been thinking a lot about you lately and I –

I cut him off immediately.

-If you must know, I have a boyfriend now.

-I know. Listen to me. As I was saying, I had a pretty hard time after out break up. I admit that cheating on you was wrong but I’m really truly sorry. Also, I have a confession to make: I have a girlfriend too. You probably know her, she looks just like you.

-You mean…..her? I pointed to my sister, who just walked in the kitchen.

-Yeah……I’m really sorry but I thought you should know. Your sister wanted our relationship to be kept a secret but it felt so wrong…after all we’ve been through together; I couldn’t hide something like that from you.

I was about to have a freaking panic attack.

I did what I usually do when I’m in a situation like that: I leave. I heard Tyler screaming my hand but Ali was holding his arm so he couldn’t come after me. I ran into our bedroom, packed all my valuable items: my iPod, my camera, my cellphone, a toothbrush, a few clothes and a picture of me and Liam and I opened the window. There was a little balcony and it made it easy to escape. I ran as fast as I can, never looking back. I was never coming back.

*flashback*

I remember it just like it happened yesterday. I was sitting in the school cafeteria and Jade Edwards and Meghan Michaels were talking about me:

‘’Have you seen her clothes? Who always wear hoodies and jeans? Does she have any feminine aide at all? ‘’

‘’I know! Have you seen the way she eats, just like a dog!’’

‘’And those hair, oh my god, she must be so ashamed!’’

Tyler came sitting by Jade, and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek

‘’What are you laughing about baby? ’He said, amused.

‘’Just that girl, I don’t know her’’ She pulled her red bandana from her brown hair and ran her fingers through it.

Then, Ali came to them:

‘’Hey Tyler, wanna practice soccer this afternoon’’?

‘’Hum, yeah, sure, if it’s okay with Jade…’’

‘’Go ahead sweety, I trust you’’ she said, slowly.

Ali sat down with them. Yes, you heard right. She was friends with the popular crew, the very same one who adored making fun of me. This was in 9th grade, we were fourteen.

I had no friends. Ali wouldn’t talk to me at all in school. I was left all alone. I had only one real friend: her name was Katherine. She moved to Pennsylvania when she turned fifteen so I was really alone.

Tori, Ali’s best friend, was also sitting with the cool people crew. It consisted of jocks and cheerleaders, essentially. Neither of which I was. I stood up, leaving the cafeteria quickly. I went to my locker and soon after, Tyler was at my side.

‘’What do you want? Shouldn’t you be with them?’’

‘’I don’t want them, I want you’’

And that’s how it all started. Jade moved a couple months later to California, where Tyler and she were both from. And I never heard of her again, until He told me he cheated on me with her. I should have known. He never really loved me.

*end of flashback*

I needed to see Liam. Now.

LIAM’S POV

I was sitting on my bed, responding to some fans on Twitter. Louis was in his room, doing a Twitcam. The others… I had no idea where they were. Niall was probably eating food, that’s all I know. I wanted to see Ariana today. I don’t know how to explain this but ever since I met her, I felt like a completely new person. I wasn’t as tough as I was before, I wasn’t as serious. I felt myself becoming a better person because of her. She completed me; I knew she was the one. I knew it from the start, when I first saw her at the back of the arena. I was lost in my thoughts when I heard Louis scream:

‘’LIAM! YOU’RE GIRLFRIEND IS HERE!’’

I looked up and I saw Ariana. She was in tears.

‘’Come here babe, what’s wrong?’’

I patted the empty place beside me and she ran to me. She buried her face in my chest and cried for hours, without saying anything. I rubbed her back gently and when she stopped crying, I took her face in my hands and looked into her beautiful blue/gray eyes. They were all red.

‘’What happened? ’I ask, completely worried.

She took several deep breaths before looking me in the eyes and telling me her story.

ARIANA’S POV

Don’t ask me how I got to their hotel room, I don’t know myself. I ran away from the house and the next thing I knew, I was greeted by Louis after knocking on their door. As soon as I saw Liam, I bursted into tears. I told him everything about Tyler, even more than he already knew. I had nothing to hide. I didn’t let out one single detail. After I was done, he looked at me.

‘’What? ’I ask, teasingly.

‘’Nothing’’ he said. ‘’You’re just so beautiful’’

He knew how to make me feel better, that’s for sure. I heard the boys entering the living room.

‘’WE GOT FOOD’’ I heard Niall scream loudly.

That boy really did have a passion for food man.

I jumped off the bed, followed by Liam. He put his arms around me and pulled me for a hug. I hugged him back as hard as I could. He was all I had left. I’ll make sure to keep him as long as I could. After all, I would be living with them 24/7 now. It was a new start to a new life away from all the pain I suffered. Here, I felt loved. I felt like I could be myself. I could start all over again, and that’s all I ever wanted.
