Chapter 16

ALI’S POV

‘’Harry Edward Styles, member of the internationally known boy-band One Direction has confirmed he is dating country star Taylor Swift. ‘’ I shut down the TV.

Are you fucking kidding me?

I had to know. I had to know a lot of things actually. Like, what happened to Liam? On Twitter, it said that Liam had some ‘’personal troubles’’ … I should really call Ariana; she would probably explain the whole thing to me. I had been busy with university a lot, and it only was the beginning! I was studying biochemistry, that’s probably why.

I had a harsh couple months, to tell the truth. Tyler was harassing me like you have no idea. He was still trying to get back with me while I clearly was over him. My parents were constantly on my case and pushing me to try harder in school or have the cutest boyfriend ever and ‘’forget that slut you used to have as a sister’’ … They were so happy that she left the house. It was not normal. I was trying to act normal in front of them but I really wanted to get out of this place. After diner that evening, I went straight to bed. I had classes all day and I was tired as hell. As I was just about to fall asleep, my cellphone rang. The display read Eleanor Calder. I answered.

‘’Hi Ali!’’ Eleanor said in a happy voice.

‘’Hey El, what’s going on?’’

‘’Well, I need your help. I have plane tickets to go to Paris for a couple weeks, are you interested?’’

‘’ARE YOU SERIOUS???’’ I shouted. Of course I’m interested! But Harry …. He’ll be there?

‘’Yes… I know how you feel about him and I can tell that he feels the exact same way, to be honest’’.

‘’What? I’’ shouted.’’ I thought he had a girlfriend!’’

‘’There are a lot of things people say about them that are not true you know…’’

I sighed with relief.

I talked with her for a while, catching up with what has been going on. I couldn’t believe it. Niall…and Ariana? No way. No no no.

When I hung up, I immediately started packing. I e-mailed all my teachers saying I’ll be gone for two weeks and they all agreed to let me go, and sent me the stuff I’ll be missing out on. It surprised me on how understanding they were.

LIAM’S POV

I was released from the hospital early this morning and given medication. Ariana stayed with me the whole time. We didn’t get to our place yet. My dad was going to get us back to London. Before doing that, I had something in mind…the ring. I walked to the oh dear park that brought back so many memories and we sat on the grass under a tree. I held her body against mine and she rested her head on my shoulder. At this very moment, I felt like nothing could ever go wrong again between us two.  I pulled the ring from my pocket and handed it to her. The expression on her face was priceless.

ARIANA’S POV

In Liam’s hand stood the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. ‘’This, he said, is a promise ring. It means that I promise to be faithful to you forever and love you with all my heart until the very end.’’

Damn it Liam James Payne why are you so sweet?

‘’I love you Liam James Payne’’ was all that came out of my mouth.

‘’I love you too, Ariana Eve Parker’’

And then our lips collided, and our hearts beat in unison as we were listening to the sound of the nature surrounding us.

ELEANOR’S POV

The plan was working out perfectly. Only Louis and Ali knew about it. It was going to be a surprise for Harry and Ariana only, but we decided not to tell any of the boys because it would spread too easily. Aliana was going to fly here and I was going to pick her up. After that, we would all fly to Paris. It was going to be great. I couldn’t wait.

LOUIS’ POV

I had the best girlfriend ever. She was planning a trip to Paris for all of us, and even invented Ali to come with us. I think both Ariana and Harry will be excited about that, if they knew about it, hehe.

We would leave on the 17th, in three days. Tomorrow was the recording session with Ed Sheeran. It will be a lot of fun, I suppose.

There was definitely something wrong with One Direction. I felt like we were falling apart by the second, and only because of one stupid mistake. I could clearly see that Niall was upset. He barely ate anymore. He remains silent most of the time and he won’t even smile a little when I tell him his favorite joke. He was broken.

ZAYN’S POV

Perrie and I were watching a movie in our living room when I heard a loud bang.

‘’What was that’’ Perrie asked.

I stood up and looked out the window. Niall was outside and he was standing right in front of the door. I opened it.

‘’Hey mate, how’s it going?’’ I asked him.

He looked angry. He pushed me and went straight to the bathroom. He locked the door and I heard water running. A few minutes later, he came out, apparently feeling better. I didn’t question him but I gave him a strange look. He thanked me and got out of the door to his flat again.

‘’What the hell was that?’’ Perrie asked me.

‘’I don’t know babe’’ I replied.

He was definitely up to something. As he left, there were drops of blood following him… I ran to him but he pushed me away and punched me in the face.

Alright Horan, I’ll leave you alone.

HARRY’S POV

Isn't she lovely 

Isn't she wonderful 

Isn't she precious

Aliana…

Damn it.

Brain, shut up, I’m trying to sleep.

Suddenly, I hear someone cry.

Niall.

I got up and straight to his bedroom. There were red stains on the carpet. I decided to follow them and they led me to Niall. His two wrists were bleeding and there was a razor blade beside him.

NIALL’S POV

Fuck, he heard me.

Harry rushed to my room and looked at the carpet, then at me. I must look terrible. It was the first time in weeks that I felt this good. The physical pain caused by the blade was nowhere near the pain I felt in my heart, though. I should just talk to Liam about I feel, I’m sure he would understand.

But I can’t.
