"What are you doing here?" Ricky asked as he walked out of the club room, seeing Jiwoong waiting patiently on the side.
Jiwoong expressed his disappointment in not being able to spend much time with his friend by saying, "It's been so long since we last saw each other. Can't I come over for a visit?" Jiwoong asked as he approached the blond.
"dude, I'm busy. Fuck off" Ricky said, complestely shutting off the other.
Jiwoong questioned, "Yet you're always out with Gyuvin?", raising one of his eyebrows.
Ricky let out a sigh of frustration as he said, "We literally live next to each other".
"Just say that you're tired of me," Jiwoong fake cried.
Ricky responded, saying, "I am," while quickening his pace and leaving the other behind.
"Hey, I was just joking!" Jiwoong yelled, trying to catch up to the blond.
"Do you need something? You've never been this clingy before" Ricky asked as he noticed an unusual change with Jiwoong's behavior.
"Nothing really, I'm just checking whether my best friend title is being taken away" Jiwoong joked earning a chuckle from the blond.
"Nah, no one can take that away from you." Ricky smiled.
Hearing those words, he immediately clung to the blond's arm. "Really?" he asked, his face beaming.
"But I will definitely remove it if you keep on doing shit like this." Ricky glared as as he forcefully freed himself from the Jiwoong's grasp.
"What's gotten into you? You're usually giddy whenever I hold you" Jiwoong teased. "Wait- Do you like someone else now? You were so loyal to me-"
"dude, stop bringing that up. That was like 12 years ago" Ricky cut him off as he rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"But you still like me-"
"I do not-"
"YOU DO!"
"I SAID I DON'T"
"YOU D-"
"I LIKE SOMEONE ELSE NOW, OKAY?!" Ricky exclaimed, but it was still not loud enough for others to hear.
Jiwoong face widened in shock upon hearing Ricky's sudden announcement. "You do?", he asked, his voice slightly shaky.
"Yeah," Ricky murmured.
Jiwoong, still taken aback, asked, "Why didn't you inform me earlier?
"As if you'd be of any help" Ricky scoffed, as they arrived at a bus stop.
"Well, true but still I want to cheer you on, you know?" Jiwoong shrugged.
Ricky softly murmured, "No need to, things are already going well,". As he spoke, a faint blush began to creep across his face.
Jiwoong couldn't help but chuckle as he observed the blond'sface start to flush,"look at your face, you're blushing like crazy". After what seemed like a long wait, a bus finally arrived and both of them eagerly got on. However, Jiwoong couldn't help but mutter under his breath, "damn, you're actually ditching me".
"Bitch, stop acting like you don't like someone" Ricky couldn't help but scoff at his friend's behavior, "What happened with that?" he asked.
"Ah, that? Well there hasn't been much progress. I mean we did exchange a few hello's but that was nearly everything." Jiwoong sighed.
"Well now that's a YOU problem, how would they know that you like them if you don't make a move?" Ricky asked the other playfully flicking his forehead.
"I did-"
"SAYING HELLO IS NOT A MOVE." Ricky said cutting him off assuming what Jiwoong would say.
Jiwoong let out a deep sigh as he said, "I don't want to push myself onto him though". He didn't want to come across as forceful or intrusive in any way, so he was reluctant to take any action that might potentially make the other person uncomfortable by his presence.
Ricky encouraged, with an understanding tone, "You don't have to, but make yourself visible to them. If you dont make enough effort to be noticed, how will they acknowledge that you like them?".
"Ah, I don't know. Change the topic please" Jiwoong begged earning a chuckle from the blond.
"Fine. Why are you here?" Ricky asked following Jiwoong's request to change the topic.
"What? I don't know, I just hopped in because you did" Jiwoong said completely clueless.
"You literally hopped in a bus that will travel to a different city just because I did so?" Ricky couldn't believe what he just heard, causing him to let out an audible gasp. "What if I'm planning to sell you to traffickers?" Ricky playfully joked.
"Then I'd happily suffer as you drown in guilt." Jiwoong said with an eerie smile on his face.
"As if I'd have conscience towards you?" Ricky scoffed. The ongoing quarrel between the two persisted, as it was their usual way of communication, until they eventually reached Ricky's designated stop.
"Anyway, what brought you here?" Jiwoong asked as they got off the bus.
"The bus," Ricky replied sarcastically, receiving a sarcastic look from the other who did not respond and waited for him to answer correctly. "I want to check out the new art gallery that just opened here." he added.
"Oh, cool. Then why didn't you ask me to come with you?" Jiwoong asked with a hint of disappointment and annoyance.
Ricky let out a scoff in response and asked, "Why should I? You're not even interested in art".
Jiwoong, mischievously, jokingly suggested, "You could've used it as an opportunity to ask me out on a date" With a playful demeanor, he even went so far as to bat his eyelashes and flash an adorable smile.
Ricky expressed his extreme distaste by uttering the word "disgusting", as he attempted to shield the other person's face with his palm. However, before he could execute his plan entirely, Jiwoong swiftly grabbed his hand and mischievously intertwined their fingers together.
"HEY- I told you that I already like someone else" Ricky said in an annoyed tone as he removed Jiwoong's hand from his.
"Alright, sorry. You're quite sensitive today" Jiwoong said in a defeated tone. "Perhaps, you haven't gotten the chance to see this crush of yours?" Jiwoong once again, teased the blond.
"Yes, so fuck off" Ricky sighed. "Plus, you also have crush right?" he added while the other just nodded at his question. "Then, stop acting clingy, we don't want them to get the wrong idea." Ricky said as they stood there, waiting patiently for the traffic light to transition to green and allow them to safely cross the busy street.
"damn, you're really serious about that person", Jiwoong couldn't help but laugh as he noticed just how dedicated the blond was to that special someone, remarking on how passionately he reacted whenever he playfully teased him.
"I am" Ricky responded with a casual tone, his gaze aimlessly roaming the surroundings, anticipating the moment when the traffic light would finally transition.
"But aren't you overreacting? It's not like you're actually dating-"
"Actually...", Ricky's eyes suddenly stopped in one place, a slight blush spreading across his face. The light finally turned green, Ricky straightened up as he began to cross the street. With a gentle smile, he murmured, "We already are."
