Me and Pansy arrived and my stomach was in knots as she led me through some doors. I knew this wasn't going to be good, why else would he invite just us and our- well there parents. It's all so odd.

Pansy stood close to me until she opened the doors. She went to her parents and Nicolas came up to me.

"He's planning something isn't he?" I asked.

"Just be careful, your friends parents aren't here to be friendly" he said and we both walked to Sirius who seemed to be arguing with Dracos dad. Draco looked fed up so I pulled him to the side.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"No something isn't right." He said. Matheo came up behind me and I could feel his nervousness as he placing his hand on my lower back.

"He's right, somethings happening." Matheo said cautiously. I tried reading Voldemorts mind but he seemed to have taken a protection potion.

"I'm not staying here when everyone here isn't comfortable" I said and I walked towards Voldemort pulling him aside.

"Tell me why we're here or I'm leaving." I stated.

"I need your friends parents approval, you being here and giving a good impression will show them they need me." He replied.

"So your using me."

"Im wining with you by my side." He said.

"I'm not by yourside and I'm here because my friends are here." I replied.

"That's exactly why there here. If there here I knew you'd come"

"What do you expect me to do?" I asked.

"Be nice, don't start anything. Enjoy it or everything will go wrong" he explained.

"Take the protection spell off." I said. He nodded and took it off, I read his mind to see if he was being truthful and he mostly was.

"You want Nic to give you infinite life..." I mumbled. He grinned at me and walked away.

Pansy, Matheo, Theo, Tom, Draco and Blaise came up to me with curious looks.

"What did he say?" Pansy asks.

"He's after approval, we just need to be good for tonight." I replied.

"Or we ruin it and I tell my parents he's a dick" Theo says.

"Do that and I'll be made to fix it." I said back and he nodded. Theos mum came up to us and put her hand out. I didn't accept it.

"Pleasure to meet you Mrs Nott" I said politely. She put her hand away and smirked.

"Smart child. Why would you not accept my hand?" She questioned.

"With respect I've never met you, and you don't want to be here as much as me so I reckon you'd do anything to leave" I replied. She smirked and looked at Theo.

"I hope you keep this one around. She's a smart one" and she walked away.

"I don't even want to know but your a smart ass" Theo chuckles.

"All part of the plan Theo." I giggled.

"Yeah well be careful there all looking at you like your the prize" Draco says.

Suddenly I sensed it and my heart raced. Matheo could tell.

"What's wrong?" Matheo asked worried.

"Tom please tell me you have a blade on you" I muttered. He passed me the blade and looked at me concerned. I threw the blade to the other side of the room and it caught on someone pinning them on the wall. Matheo pulled me close to him quickly as everyone looked at the man.

Voldemort shot a spell at him killing him and Matheo quickly turned my head away pulling me into his chest.

"How did you know he was here?" Voldemort asks.

"Doesn't matter, clean the body up. I don't want her seeing it" Matheo said still holding me close to him. Once the- it was cleaned up Matheo kissed my head and still hugged me.

"What was he after Darling?" Matheo asked.

"Me..." I muttered.

"Well of course, she's powerful. He would have surprising been able to kill any of us. You have gained my respect" Blaises dad said. I smiled at him awkwardly and Pansys parents wanted me to come over. They didn't tell me directly, they was waiting for me to read there minds so I walked over to them.

"Your my Elena, my daughters best friend?" Pansys mum asked.

"Yes" I replied.

"Pleasure, he could of harmed one of us. Thank you" she said.

"I hoped Pansy would gain power by a friend, not them...badly behaved boys she hangs around with" her dad says mockingly.

"With all respect there good friends." I said.

"How is it your dating the dark lords son? I mean your pretty and he's..." I cut her off.

"He's what." I said firmly.

"He's not the good image for a girl like you." She said.

"Well sorry but he's perfect for me, and so are my friends. So if you'd excuse me" and I walked away. As I did I could feel I made a good impression. How was that good?? Gosh these people were werid.

"Sorry about my parents, they aren't the politest.." Pansy said.

I was about to reply but Voldemort made an announcement and we all sat at the table. Matheo was at one side of me and Theo on the other.

"I want to thank everyone for being here and Elena, your opinion?" He asked.

"You all need to learn manners and respect your children" I said leaning back onto my chair. They looked at me in a certain way I couldn't read.

"How so, we give them everything" lucius says.

"No, you provide them with nothing except power and money. That isn't my definition of family." I replied.

"Seems like we all need to learn a few things" Voldemort says.

"I have a question." I said chiming in. Sirius and Nic gave me a warning look but I ingored it.

"Your all aware I can read your minds and you all want something. So why is it your all curious about me?" I asked.

"She doesn't know?" Pansys mum asked voldemort.

"Know what?" Matheo asked.

"She holds the power of lots of things. She controls elements and minds. She has great power and as much as we appear bad we're all here to look out for her" he replies.

"And why does she need to be looked out for?" Pansy asks.

"Elena, people are after your power. There all really here to see if they want to kill the ones who are coming after you." Nic says to me. I had no clue what to say.

"But we've all agreed to kill them, so don't worry" Lucius says.

"Why me though?" I asked.

"You picked up the stone, it unlocked the power inside of you that your mum gave you before she passed. If I picked up the stone or anyone else it would of killed us." Voldemort replied. I looked at Nic then realised as he looked guilty.

"You...you knew and wanted me to pick up the stone!" I yelled at Nic. He nodded in devastation.

"Did you?" I asked turning to Matheo.

"No, I swear" he replied. The convocation soon ended and they was all talking about random things, I couldn't pay attention though. Just the thought of people after me makes me want to curl up into a ball and cry. My leg was shaking but I didn't even realise until Matheo put his hand on my thigh which instantly made me calm down.

"Could me and Elena excuse ourselfs?" He asked. Voldemort nodded and Matheo took my hand and we both left.
