Dark to Light

I was still sat there for a while beside the Lake until it started snowing badly. I didn't care if I froze to death but I wasn't going to let this take over my Christmas. I'm just glad I gave him atleast a little happiness before...yeah.

I picked myself up and walked inside my dorm, Pansy wasn't there so I decided to get a hot shower. When I came back out I just wanted to sleep. I threw Matheos hoodie on that he left and some shorts and my shoes before walking to the slytherin room.

When I walked in no one was there which was kind of perfect, I sat on the sofa nearest to the fire place and just thought about everything, life.

"Thank god we've been looking for you everywhere" Pansy said sitting in the sofa with Blaise next to her.

"Princess are you okay?" Theo asked sitting on the same sofa as me but leaving space in the middle.

"I'm good, sorry for leaving like that" I said smiling at him. Matheo came over and sat in between us, he put his arm around me and pulled me close to him. I leaned my head on his shoulder.

"No one blame you for everything, I'm sorry about the little boy" Matheo whispers. Gosh I was fine but seeing Matheo made me what to cry. My emotion was at there highest when around him and I hated it but loved it at the same time.

"Where did you go anyway?" Tom asked.

"Sit by the lake" I mumbled.

"Don't be doing that please, the snow is deep and it's freezing out" Matheo said.

"Girl you could of freezed to death" Pansy said. I shrugged and was just fed up of everything.

"It was badass though the way your eyes glowed" Blaise chuckled, Pansy threw a pillow at him making him shut up.

"I didn't even have control of what I was doing" I replied.

"You was upset, everyone gets like that" Theo said softly. We all joked about random stuff until a professor walked in.

"Elena Black, your wanted in Dumbledores office."

"I can't go in there, that place triggers my magic-" the professor cut me off.

"Bring Mr Riddle then, he keeps you control doesn't he?" She asked. Matheo got up and offered me his hand which I accepted and we followed the professor to the office. As we walked in I felt my power increase with the amount of stuff I could channel in this room.

Dumbledore turned to us and the door automatically shut by itself making me jump.

D- "I've come to learn you can read minds."

My heart dropped, he or anyone else wasn't supposed to know. "How do you know?" I questioned.

D- "Your mum had similar powers, only she did not have to use her wand to harness magic, that's the same for you?"

"Is there a point to this or not?" Matheo asked rudely and coldly.

D- "indeed. I trust only your friends know about this power?"

I nodded.

D- "Great. Your powerful, I just want you to have people looking out for you"

"What do you care" Matheo said.

"You lied about the boy. Why?" I asked.

D- "I didn't want you to lose control, if you do the magic might take over you. Like Voldemort and you'll want more power."

"She is nothing like him!" Matheo yelled.

D- "but she will be if you don't keep her in check! I wouldn't want to have to tell the school board who will take her away"

I felt Matheos emotions and he was pissed. Dumbledore seemed to be hiding something so I read his mind.

"You wouldn't...you need me here just incase Voldemort attacks" I muttered.

D- "I need to know who's side your on. Your boyfriend's dad's or your schools."

"She wouldn't choose." Matheo said coldly.

D- "Matheo when I accepted your brother and you here it was because you needed help and education. Or do I need to arrest you for being his son, meaning you could be a deatheater."

"Arrest or touch my friends then I will be forced to pick there side." I started, I felt my eyes glowing but Matheo placed his hand on my lower back calming me down. Dumbledore looked impressed.

D- "Facinating...your love for eachother is strong enough to kill magic alone.."

"Which means?" Matheo said.

D- "which means I won't report you both and you get to stay together if your on my side in the end."

Me and Matheo both looked at eachother then back at Dumbledore and nodded. We left after that and didn't want to go back to the slytherin room so we went to my dorm.

"Atleast were all protected by both sides in the end." Matheo said sitting on my bed.

"There won't be a fight if I keep both sides happy, won't be easy but not impossible." I said. Matheo stood up and hugged me tight.

"Forget about today and everything. Were together and alive. Christmas is in 9 days, let's enjoy it." Matheo said as I hugged him back. I nodded and we both smiled.

We sat in my dorm just talking for hours and hours, cuddling and it felt amazing. I've never felt more truly connected and inlove with someone on my life. It made it better knowing I was safe with him, and be is my anchor.

This was until Pansy came in and tried kicking him out but I wouldn't let him move.

"Elena at this point your living together!" Pansy argued.

"Great, you and Blaise go live together, just say I kicked you out." Matheo chuckled. Pansy roled her eyes and left shutting the door behind her.

"Ugh she's right" I groaned.

"She can fuck right off, your my girl. She'll get used to it" Matheo said pulling me even more closer to him.

"Uh-huh, your girl" I laughed softly.

"That a problem darling?" He said. I shook my head and he grinned. "Good girl" he said, I was that close to him our body's were practically pushed together.

"I didn't want to sleep, I want to talk to you" I mumbled with my eyes closing slowly.

"We have eternity to talk, sleep" he replied softly. My eyes were closed as I was drifting asleep and I felt him kiss my head. "I love you" he whispered. I didn't have the energy to reply but his words surprised me. Neither of us had said that to eachother unless something went wrong or we was dying. So this means...he meant it, right?

I had no clue what time is was but I felt something when I awoke. I didn't open my eyes though, the feeling was not a good feeling and I was scared it was someone in my dorm room. I nudged Matheo slowly but making sure he woke up.

"What's wrong princess?" He mumbled.

"Someone's thoughs...there too bad and close." I whispered, still not daring to open my eyes. Matheo pulled out his wand and did a spell.

"Darling no one is in the room" he said. I opened my eyes and my head killed making me flinch in pain. This wasn't a usual head ache. The last thing I remember was seeing black.

"Darling wake up!" I heard Matheos voice say and I did. I shot up and looked around for a minute making sure no one was there and the only thoughts I could hear was Matheos.

"It's was just a nightmare Darling..." he said softly placing his hand ontop of mine. I was still shaking when I hugged him tight.

"What happened this time?" He asked. I learned how to share memories so I did, I showed him what I saw and he looked surprised but then felt worried.

"I want to test something. Sleep in my dorm tonight?" Matheo asked and I nodded. He pulled my head into his chest and he threw his arms around me hugging me tight. He seemed worried and I didn't like it but I couldn't talk. I was too shaken up. My nightmares felt too real.
