Ending, when it's us

The leaves are parting from the dead tree,
It's taking it's last breath of death,
But it forgot to weep.

It's now home and reached thee,
I still weep for the rest of the tree.

I couldn't count how long it took,
I couldn't cry for their look
They don't know how they were cared
Now they are with us,
because it's ended here.
