This is the longest poem I've ever written it takes place after the sequel of my story, "The Witches of the North." Alastor brings his sister to Sunset Hill to find a lost treasure left by his father. But before they can reach it, a blizzard hits them. Alastor must convince Jack Frost to stop the icy weather so he can find his father's riches.

He planned a Christmas wedding filled with joy... But one phone call shattered everything.

Background for readers new to sonnets: A "sonnet" is a poem, traditionally consisting of fourteen lines, that follows strict meter and rhyme schemes. The two most well-known forms of sonnets were popularized by William Shakespeare (The Shakespearean Sonnet, or The English Sonnet) and Francesco Petrarch (The Petrarchan Sonnet, or The Italian Sonnet). Sonnets use a meter scheme known as iambic pentameter, which means each line consists of five pairs of syllables, with each syllable pair consisting of an unstressed and a stressed syllable (eg, "Shall I comPARE thee TO a SUMmer's DAY?") A short story about a Grandfather, a Father and a Son

My poem, “Our Story,” is inspired by a true story. This is a story about lost love, which commonly occurs as a result of the difference between a man and a woman and the pace at which each one seeks new romance. In today's world a man forgets that a woman must be pursued, and that her timeline is slower than his. Frequently this results in hurt feelings that the woman cannot overcome after she finally realizes he is the one. His misperception is that she is uninterested or that she has rejected him, when in fact her feelings have actually been growing stronger and stronger for him as each day passes.

We all have a story. Why we do the things we do. Why we are the way we are. Why I have to tell you goodbye.

"12 Hour Unravelling" is a journey through the internal battles we often fight alone - the confusion, the weight of expectations, the struggle to find clarity in chaos, and the hope of eventual freedom. This story-poem hopes to give voice to those moments when time seems both our enemy and our healer. Thank you for walking these hours with me. May you find your own strength in the unravelling.
