"Find me in this world full of lies" A story-poem of love, betrayal, and the search for truth- a soul silenced too soon, a heart drowned in jealousy, yet bound forever by love that lingers beyond death. A haunting tale of what was lost in life, but found too late in the depths of the heart. Revised - 2025

My poem, “Our Story,” is inspired by a true story. This is a story about lost love, which commonly occurs as a result of the difference between a man and a woman and the pace at which each one seeks new romance. In today's world a man forgets that a woman must be pursued, and that her timeline is slower than his. Frequently this results in hurt feelings that the woman cannot overcome after she finally realizes he is the one. His misperception is that she is uninterested or that she has rejected him, when in fact her feelings have actually been growing stronger and stronger for him as each day passes.
