I sat in my room reading my book and there were foot steps before a gentle knock. "Who is it? Come in" I spoke and glanced up from my book.

"Were goin out. You comin?" Ghost poked his head in the door and I hummed. "No?" I spoke and he rolled his eyes. "Why?" He questioned pushing the door open.

"Like out drinking?" I questioned and he nodded. "Yeah no" I spoke shaking my head. "Why not?" He asked again. "Public. Drinking. Not sitting in my bed." I groaned shrugging.

"Just to what? Get drunk? Have a hang over the next day?" I shook my head and he hummed. "How about some tea?" He asked. "I thought you were going out?" I questioned and he shrugged crossing his arms.

"Don't have to. Someone's gotta stay behind to watch over the place" he told me and I hummed. "I'll watch. You go out if you want to" I told him and he shrugged walking out.

An hour later the base was empty with only Simon and I. He sat in my room reading as I did the same. He had made tea and we sat in silence.

"Oh my god. I'm just a fucking medic! Not one of your recruits!" I yelled at Konig and he pulled his head back as I rasied my voice.

"Wren. I- I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell" he told me quickly and I wiped the blood off my hands. "If you don't want the help, then don't bother me" I threw the rag down and stood up.

"Wait" he grabbed my hand and I looked back at him. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled" he told me avoiding my gaze. "Its fine" I told him looking down at his hand holding my wrist. "Can I help you?" I asked him and he pulled me closer.

"You wanna show these recruits how to do it." Keegan looked over at me and I looked at him. "Me? Run? I've done my time" I spoke and he chuckled.

"It wasn't a question" he told me and I grinned with a hum. "Oh yeah?" I asked him turning my head watching the 7 other new recruits turn the last corner and they were running towards us. Keegan rasied his eyebrows and he put his hand up so when the recruits got close they stopped.

"One lap around" Keegan told them keeping eye contact with me. "First to pass me gets to go inside. Anyone after that is gonna run until they throw up" Keegan hummed and I took off in a sprint.

I heard the recruits curse. They had already been around the track 5 times. I ran, I kept a steady pace all the way around making sure to look at Keegan every now and again so he could see me win.

I rounded the last corner and the recruits were at least 10 feet behind. I ran past Keegan as he grinned at me.

"You sorry fucks better keep running!" He yelled at them as I walked over to him. "I like it when your unfair. That was my first lap and there 6th" I told him and he chukled and shrugged.

"Unfair?" He hummed and I pushed his shoulder. "You didn't like it last night" he hummed and I scoffed walking back to the door.

I sat in Price's office with my book holding my head. The door opened and the over head light flicked on.

"Wren? What are you doing in here?" Price asked me and I groaned. "They are driving me crazy. Like literally fuckin crazy" I complained and he chukled and shut the door.

"Yeah. They'll do that." He nodded walking around the desk to sit in his chair. I was still hunched over using the lamp he had on his desk.

"Do you want me to leave Captain? I'm sure you have work todo" I started to stand. "You stay as long as you need" he held a hand out grabbing some paper work. "They won't bother us" he shook his head.

I sat tied to a chair with Ghost standing in front of me. "Are you gonna tell me why I'm here?" I asked him. I had been screaming and trying to break free for an hour and now I was so angry I was calm.
