Sasukes pov~

It's probably been about 2 weeks since we all returned to the village. I've been here in this cell, waiting for my punishment. Not like I'm complaining, I deserve it after all. But the cold atmosphere made it feel so eerie, and the constant water dripping from the ceiling was the only sound I could focus on. The longer I sit in this stupid fucking cell, the longer I give into my thoughts. The amount of guilt I feel is enough to make me want to kill myself right now, but I won't. There is one thing keeping me from doing so. Well two things, this straight jacket, and a certain girl.

Third person pov~

Sakura decided to come visit Sasuke in the cell today, much to his silent delight. She smiled as she passed the guards, walking to his cell. He could hear her scuffing her shoes against the floor as she walked closer to his cell door.

"Hey Sasuke" Sakura said with a bright smile.

"Hey." He said in return, not allowing too much emotion to escape with his word.

"I brought you some food. Have you had any today?"

"No, not yet." He said with his normal bored tone.

He was so happy she was here but he couldn't allow her to know that, not yet. He loved that she still cared about him.

"Here ya go!" She started to feed him the food, since his arm was tied down.

"Thank you" he said quietly, having Sakura feed him was humiliating for him but he was starving so who gives a fuck. Not him.

Over the past few days, Sakura kept visiting him, always bringing something for him. Whether it was food, a gift of some sort or just plain conversation, she always provided for him somehow. Of course, Kakashi and Naruto visited as well, but that wasn't the same. It struck him how often Sakura had been doing it, which left him confused as to why she'd waste her time attending to him, a criminal.

"Sakura?" He asked, after he'd finished eating.

"What's up?"

"Why do you keep visiting me? Don't you have other things that are more important?"

"Do you want me to stop?" She said, a little confused.

"No... I just don't see why you're still dedicating your time to seeing me after everything I've put you through."

Sakura rolled her eyes at that statement, and lifted his blindfold. "Haven't I told you more than once that I've forgiven you?"

"Yes... but I don't deserve your forgiveness. You shouldn't be doing this for me."

"I love you. What else am I supposed to do? Let you starve?"

"That the only reason you come here? To feed me?"

"No silly! Of course not. I come here because i want to make up for lost time. I spent years missing you, and I finally have the opportunity to see you again, why wouldn't I take it?"

"Because I'm not worth it."

"Shut up. You're worth it to me. And to everyone else who fought to get you back."

After that, Sasuke didn't say anything. He just looked at her in the eyes and tried to see what she was feeling. He was never really good with interpreting emotions, but for once in his life, he genuinely felt like she loved him with all her heart. He wouldn't ever admit it of course, but he loved her equally.

"There are no hard feelings Sasuke. I've forgiven you. Stop thinking you don't deserve it."

"Fine."

......

"Hey Sakura?"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"Being here. Staying. Everything."

"Any time Sasuke"

She suddenly got on her knees and sat down in front of him, her arms folded over on his knees.

"I'm not going to leave you, if that's what you're worried about. I don't care about what's happened. It's all in the past now, and you deserve a second chance."

Sasuke looked down at her and sucked his bottom lip into his mouth, not wanting to look at her beautiful eyes right now. He felt horrible for everything, but he couldn't get rid of this woman. She never stopped loving him, no matter what he did. No matter how many times he hurt her, she stayed, and she kept faith in him. She never doubted him, and has cried for him more times than even she can count.

"I love you Sasuke."

"Hn."
