(Dylan's POV)

I woke up. Beside Kory and Ryan. These adorable idiots on top of me. I glanced at the sunlight piercing through the curtains, it was as beautiful as it could be. I'm happy now. This is what I needed.

I got up and took a shower in the Char's bathroom. I got ready and headed out while both Ryan and Kory were still passed out on the couch and snoring. I walked the warm streets feeling great and refreshed. I meet the eyes of a boy. He looked at me blankly, the air pulling his strawberry blond hair away from his freckled face. He looked younger than me but not too young. He walks towards my direction and stares into my eyes with his cold, blank stare.

'Hey...' His voice ran cold. He was only a few inches shorter than me. I smiled at him and said hello back. He walked pass me and I looked back to him while he was leaving. Odd.

I kept walking around and enjoying the view. The early morning smelled like rain had happened last night. I had a great time just admiring the fields in the neighbourhood before I reached the busy city.

I sat in a cafe, waiting for Corrie. We were going to hang out today. I ordered a latte and got started on a new book I had in my bag. It was tranquil.

I really enjoyed it for a while. Reading my new and fresh book.

I stopped, at the sight of someone familiar. It was Corrie, she had arrived. "Dude hey" she got into the table. "Wait- actually lemme get something to eat" She got back up again and waddled on down to the counter to order something.

(Corrie's POV)
I walk on to the counter to get myself some pastries or something. I looked at the menu while being in the line. "Hey" I heard someone call me from behind, so I turned around and I saw... Who I wish I hadn't. Not today. God! It was my ex, Anton... We've been dating since fifth grade. Can you believe that - FIFTH GRADE.

And I somehow never saw him toxic until 2 years ago when he constantly made comments about my weight. See, I used to be enormous, like the f word and Anton would constantly make me remember I was, that's until I had enough and stood him up. I still remember the date so clearly. God it was such a rush moment for me, it felt amazing. I still have the date marked on my old calendar and I kept that calendar since.

December Seventh, Twenty-Twenty-One.

"Hey..." I say back, clutching my lip under my teeth. "You're back." I look at his tall figure.
"Yea" He replied to me. Looking me up and down, giving me the creeps.

"So you still live around here? Same house?' He asked. "Yea." The room shook silent for me.
The lady behind me calls me to order and I turnaround from Anton.

He has the nerve to show up here after all that! But I can't be salty about it...
No, not around, in front, nor near Dylan. I don't want to show Anton any signs of saltiness too, he'd get his ego up and when that ego goes up it goes big (unlike his fella). If he still thinks I have any feelings left he must be a damn idiot. I walked back to our table, guess what?

Anton follows me while talking about his new life and why he came back thinking I'm listening, God! I wanted to take his head by his hair and slam it across the cafe floor way too bad. But I kept it cool and smiled like an idiot on the way to the chair, wishing he'd get distracted by someone else he was close with in the town before I made my way to Dylan. I don't want Dylan to know this idiot even exists! But damn! This idiot does not quit!

Dylan had already seen me and Anton behind me... Crap what should I do!?
It was too late, he'd already made himself comfortable.

(Dylan's POV)
I see Corrie but with a guy I've never seen before. He sat next to us and so did Corrie who looked as if she had seen a ghost. "Hey..." I looked at the guy. "Hi!" He said, rather lightly. "I'm Anton...Who are you?" He asks. "I'm Dylan..." I looked at Corrie who looked like she needed to shit terrible.

"I'm Corrie's ex" He announces, and Corrie sighs painfully. "Cool." I looked at Corrie, jokingly into her eyes. "You never told me you had a boyfriend." I remarked. "Had" She smirks.

"Oh, yea..." Anton scratched his head. "Oh shit my mom is calling me. I'll see you guys around!"
He rushes after the loud rap song buzzes his phone off.

"Jeez dude." Corrie looked at me. "You okay?" I asked.
"Ghosts of Christmas past really do haunt you." She smirked.
