Karan’s pov

“Vo..voh.. manav bhai ke birthday ke agle din..main kuch saaman lene gyi thi.. mujhe kisi ne kone mein kheencha.. it was him.. voh bola ki finally main vapis aa gyi.. ab.. voh mujhe chain se jeene ni dega.. usne mera haath bhi mod diya..” i held her hand and closed my eyes in anger as i saw a bruise there

“usne mujhpe apne aap ko firse force krne ki try ki..” i pulled her in my arms and she hid her face in my chest

“v..voh bola.. ki maine agar ghr pe kisi ko bhi btaya.. toh voh.. mumma papa ko bhi ni jeene dega dhang se..isiliye main aaj hi vapis aa gyi..” she cried and i tried to console her.. i pulled back and wiped her tears..

“Teju.. don’t cry.. voh kuch nhi kr payega jab tak main yhn hun..” i assured her but she shook her head

“Voh mujhe ni jeene dega shaanti se Karan..” she cried and i wiped her tears

“Tejasswi.. listen to me baby.. delhi mein uske baap ka raaj chal skta hai.. mumbai mein nahi.. main dekhta hun ki kaise kuch krta hai voh..” i said and she didn’t give me any expression.. her eyes blinked slowly and her head suddenly clashed with my chest.. she had fainted.. shitt

“Tejasswi..” i picked her up in my arms and ran down.. i made her lie down on the backseat and quickly started driving towards the hospital.. i called Sahil

“Sahil..khn pe hai ?” i asked

“Doston ke saath club ja rha hun..” he answered

“Okay.. pleasee.. do me a favour..” i said and he hummed

“first of all.. just go to Tejasswi’s place and get her bags.. darwaze pe hi rkhe hain..”

“Tejasswi toh Tuesday ke around aane wali thi na?” He asked and i hummed

“Haan.. but jab tak main ghr na aaun pls ghr pe kisi ko mt bolio that she is back in mumbai..” i said

“Bhai what’s wrong..?” he asked sternly

“Nothing.. jitna keh rha hun filhaal utna kar.. baaki m ghr aa ke bta dunga..” i said and he hummed

“Okay.. I’ll get her bags..” he said

“Just give me a missed call when you’re done with it.. and remember.. kisi ko mt bolna abt her coming back.” I said and again and he hummed and ended the call..

I quickly reached the hospital and ran inside taking Tejasswi in my arms.. they took her inside for checkup

My phone rung and it was Sahil’s call.. thank god that he picked up her stuff.. even mom called at the same moment and i picked up her call

“Karan..” i hummed

“ghr ni aa rha tu aaj ?”

“Aunga ma.. thodi der mein aata hun..”
i said

“Thik hai.. but tu tensed kyu lg rha hai ?” She asked

“Nothing ma.. will be there in sometime” i ended the call before she could question more and i have to answer honestly because I don’t wanna give her tension right now..

The doctor came out towards me

“She’s fine now.. bp shoot up ho gya anxiety ki vjh se.. plus sugar level down chala gya tha.. maybe because she didn’t have anything for a long time.. humne glucose chadha diya hai.. she’ll get better.. aap inhe abhi aise hi le ja skte hain.. ya phir hosh mein aane ke baad.”

“I’ll take her now..” i said and he nodded.. i quickly made the payments and took her to mom and dad’s place.. Sahil’s car was already parked outside.. i picked Tejasswi up and went inside.. everyone got up as they were shocked seeing Tejasswi.. that too fainted..

“Bhai.. Tejasswi ko kya hua hai ?” Urmi asked all panicked..

“Ek minute..” i ran to my room and made her lie on the bed.. i tucked her under the blanket..

“Karan Tejasswi ko kya hua hai..?” mom asked and i told them everything

“What the fuck..” Urmi whispered and mom sat beside Tejasswi and caressed her hair..

“bhai.. please use us phase mein vapis mt jaane dena..” Urmi said

“Urmi relax.. aisa kuch nhi hoga !” I assured and she sighed..

“Sahil.. i think we should inform the police..”

“Voh maine kar diya hai..” i scrunched my nose

“aapne phn kiya toh m vhn gya tha.. aur.. jab maine ghr ki voh condition dekhi toh maine inform kr diya tha.. main bas aapke hi aane ka wait kr rha tha..” he said and i nodded

“Chalo.. main bhi saath chalunga..” dad said and i nodded

“Urmi.. change her clothes.. aur jaise hi ise hosh aaye.. just inform me and ise khana khila dena sbse pehle.. sugar level down tha iska and she hasn’t had anything since i guess yesterday..” i said and she nodded

Me dad and Sahil left for her apartment.. we went upstairs and talked to the policemen

“What do u plan to do inspector?” Dad asked

“We can’t do anything till the time he comes out again..” he said and i sighed

“We can’t risk Tejasswi..” i said and dad and Sahil nodded

“Yeah but.. if you stay with her.. then maybe in jealousy he’ll come out and we’ll place sensors here and our team will be informed immediately..” they said

“That’s a good plan.” Sahil said and i nodded

My phone rung.. it was Urmi..

“Haan Urmi..” i picked up the call

“Bhai.. Tejasswi ko hosh aa gya hai.. lekin use hlka hlka fever hai..” shit.. i closed my eyes and sighed

“I’ll be back soon.. bs tu use kuch khila dena..” i said

“Haan.. voh maine use acche se khana khila diya hai..” she said and i got relieved a bit..

I went back to dad and inspector

“Don’t worry mr Karan.. Humne fingerprints ke nishaan le liye hain.. we will find him very soon..”

“I just hope uske baap ke connections ki vjh se voh choot na jaye..” i said and and they nodded

“That’ll not happen..” he said and we locked the apartment and left for our place..

When we reached mom and Urmi were sitting down in the hall

“Tejasswi kahan hai ?” I asked

“Upar hai.. she wanted to be alone.. mujhe darr lg rha hai bhai..” Urmi hugged me and i hugged her back

“main bhut khush hun ki aap use date kr rhe ho.. main kisi ldke pe trust ni kr skti when it comes to Tejasswi..” i rubbed her back

“Urmi relax.. she’ll be fine..” I assured her and she nodded

“aap log bhi jaa ke so jao.. and thoda relax kro..” i said and they nodded.. they all went to their rooms and i went to mine.. i entered and heard her muffed voice.. she was crying in the pillow.. godd.. why all this to her.. i silently removed my shoes socks.. kept aside my watch and slipped under the covers.. i pulled her closer by her waist.. and her back collided with my chest..

“shh.. princess.. calm down..” i kissed her head

“Darr lg rha hai Karan..” she turned towards me

“Don’t be.. is baar voh bach nhi payega..” i wiped her tears

“delhi mein chlta hoga uske baap ka raaj.. idhar nhi.. main bhi dekhta hun ki kitni aukat hai uski aur kya kr lega voh..” i said

“but abhi you need rest" I caressed her hair and she melted in my touch

Tejasswi’s pov

It was next morning that i woke up to the tender touch of Karan.. the back of his hand stroking my cheeks gently.. i opened my eyes and he kissed my forehead

“Good morning princess..” he said and i hugged him tightly.. how can he be so supportive every time ? How can he be so gentle with me ?

“Thank you so much Karan..” i thanked him and he kissed my head

“You know Tejasswi.. i love being around you. And i love that you show ur weakest parts to me.. and I promise you.. i will heal all of ur wounds..” he said and i already got teary eyed

“okay come on.. get up.. we need to have breakfast and then you rest.. i need to go to ofc for some work..” he said and i smiled faintly

I got up and quickly went to get freshened up.. i was not having my clothes with me right now.. so i came out in his shirt and saw him checking some of his files.. he turned to me and dropped his file on the desk and came towards me..

“Voh.. mere kapde ni the..” he shushed me by keeping his finger on my lips

“I love seeing u in my clothes..” he kissed my cheeks and i blushed a little..

“come here..” he made me sit in front of mirror.. he kneeled beside me and took my hand in his.. he took out some ointment and applied it on my wrist.. the bruise which ansh gave me.. Karan got up and kissed my forehead.. i stood up and he cupped my face..

“Tejasswi.. you don’t have to worry about anything.. and.. uh.. police ko inform kiya tha.. toh they took out a solution..” he paused

“we’ll stay at ur apartment!” What ? No.. I can’t.. I shook my head

“listen to me first..I’ll live there with you.. I’ll drop you to ur office.. and ofc mein rishabh will take care of you.. shaam ko rishabh will drop u to ur apartment.. and will stay with you till i come home..” he had already planned everything completely

“jis din rishabh nhi ruk payega.. us din Urmi ya Sahil aa jayenge tere ps.. we’ll not leave u alone even for a second..” he assured me and i trust him but i am too weak to go through that again..

“Pkka akela ni chodoge na ?” I asked and he kissed my forehead

“You’ll not be alone..” he said firmly and i nodded.
