you are her co-worker.
vanessa x f!reader"Hi, you." Officer Shelly called out upon seeing you, sat on the breakroom, sipping on your coffee from the paper cup.
"Oh, hello, Officer Shelly." You quickly set down the coffee on the round table, offering a hand to the blond, and she takes it, gladly. "Busy night?" She asks, settling down across your chair as she leans her face to her hand, examining you, the unnecessary attention making you a bit nervous.
"Yeah," You answer, simple and short, not caring to elaborate a few details on how the night went and that seems to intrigue the cop sitting across you. "Tell me about it." The blond smiles, and you can't help but look at her hazel green eyes, how you seem to get lost in there with just a stare.
So, you tell her about the night, before you could get distracted by her orbs again, "I was assigned to secure the pizzeria, keep out trespassers and all. Y'know, the old and abandoned one? And how the old owner didn't want to let it go yet?" The blond only nods as a sign of her listening. "Yeah, well, he assigned a new security guard." You add to your previous sentence, and the girl shuffles in her seat.
"Oh, well, that's new." And that's all Shelly says in response, "By the way, before I forget, just call me Vanessa." She mentions, getting up to get her own coffee. "You need a refill?" Vanessa notices your almost empty cup.
"If you don't mind." You simply say. She only hums in agreement, you stare as she walks over to the coffee machine, noting her long hair tied into a ponytail and how soft her hands look as she rests her hand on the counter, and how you want to feel them.
"I'll take over for tomorrow, in securing the pizzeria." Vanessa says out of nowhere as she walks over to your seat, breaking you out of your thoughts, putting down your coffee infront of you and it's- you take a sip, sweet? "Oh, sorry- I didn't know you like it without sugar." She notices how your expression changed. "No, it's fine. I like it." You weren't lying, it's oddly sweet. You were never a fan of coffee with sugar, but she made you want to try them, for her.
"Well, I'm glad then." Vanessa sighs, glancing down at her own coffee before raising her head again to meet your face, and you were already staring at her below the white ceiling light blinding your eyes, "You know, you didn't tell me your name yet." She softly smiles, and all you could say is-
"Officer [ㅤㅤ]. "
This time, she's the one who offers you a hand, and you were right. Her hands were soft. Not what you would expect from a police officer, not like you were complaining, it's all the better.
"Nice meeting you." Vanessa says, a hint of interest- a hidden meaning. You sense it.
"Too."
