"What's happened that made you so miserable, hm?" A white snake with [E/C} eyes slithered up and around Fukuchi's arm, its tongue flickering occasionally as it spoke. If the teen had not had an empty feeling in his stomach, perhaps he would've known better than to speak to a talking snake.
"...he doesn't even care," He huffed, staring off into the distance, irate, as the sound of the rushing water from the river in front of him sounded around the two, "He won't even come with me."
"How disappointing," The snake spoke, moving up to hang its scaled body around his neck, "I thought this would be something interesting. Does everything not part ways at some point?"
The teen, even if he didn't really appreciate the minorizing of his emotions, did have to take the words into mind, "Is it not allowed to hurt?"
"It is," The snake hummed in thought, a non-threatening hiss in their words, "But are you just going to sit there and sulk? Move on with your life, or else you will be left behind." Harsh words, but maybe this snake was just horrible at comfort and reassurance. It's saying the right words, just not in the right way.
"..." The teen huffed, attempting to be rebellious against the snake's harsh advice, and he gripped the handle of his sword as his stomping slowly but surely turned into soft steps.
"Whatever. I don't need him anyways - I can fight in this war by myself."
"How stubborn." The snake hissed once more before slithering off the teen's arm, in another direction.
