Hiccups pov
Now that I'm chief I have a lot of responsibilities and I mean a lot. I just wish Astrid was here to help me through it. I'm so glad I have toothless to help me with it all, especially since he's the alpha of dragons it really helps keep all the dragons on Berk in line. Yesterday I went on another dragon rescue with my team, Snotlout Jorgensen, Fishlegs ingerman, and the twins ruffnet and tuffnet thornston. Gobber keeps telling me that Berk hasn't got enough room for more dragons and although I know he's right , I can't just let those dragons get captured it's not right. Normally Astrid would be here to help with all the raids, she was the best one on the team her and stormfly were perfect, she spent all week training with stormfly yet she would always find the time to help me with all my duties and we would still find the time to just relax, taking the dragons on midnight or early morning rides, and . just enjoying each others company. Our favourite places to fly to were the itchy armpit and the cove. We could just sit there and be ourselves. I know we are just meant to be. That's why I'm still so angry and her parents for sending her away to the academy. I vowed as soon as she I gets back I would find the perfect time and ask her to marry me. She said yesterday she was going to be home in 2 years. I would give anything just to see her today I miss her so much. And although I love our relationships I hate the fact that we can only talk to each other through terror mail. We haven't been for a flight together in 5 year. I just want to be able to look into the beautiful deep blue eyes.
Stormfly misses her as well. She loves playing with toothless, but you can see the sadness in her eyes when she comes with me and toothless on flights. And I know Astrid misses her as well. I do ride stormfly but it's hard because when I fly stormfly toothless has to stay at home since he's still learning how to fly on his own. I took them both in a ride this morning but something was up with them. Stormfly had that look of excitement in her eyes like she did when she was with Astrid.
As if Astrid was on her back right then. Toothless was also excited he kept looking out into the horizon letting out tiny roars of excitement I got worried thinking there was attack ships coming towards us but there were none. Hiccup sighs. Someone probably just gave them to many treats this morning. I turned toothless around heading for home. Toothless and stormfly decided to race back to Berk wothought any warning I laughed and crouched low over toothlesses neck...
