Chapter Twelve: Aurora

"I know about you and Ace.." I repeat out loud as Ace massages his forehead with his hand. "Fuck." He whispers and I can tell he's stressed. How the fuck does Ajax know about Ace and I? We've been so sneaky? Not even Nova has realized what's happening under her nose in her own home. "How." I question as I stare at my phone confused. "Im so sorry princess." He whispers and my heart sinks. "What?" he pauses and steps closer holding me in his arms looking down at me. "The other night when you were mad at me I went to get you flowers, your juice and your snickers.. He was there, and At first it was just nasty glares but then he saw what was in my hands and I think everything clicked for him." I sigh resting my head on his chest. "He won't tell anybody of importance, Nova and Otto both have his number blocked after what he did, and he's banned from all of Otto's casinos. We'll be okay Ace, you need to be more careful." I whisper and he rests his nose on the top of my head holding me tight. "I'm so sorry Ror." I smile looking up at him. "It's okay, we'll figure it out." I delete the text from Ajax and kiss Ace as I make my venture back upstairs, to the comfy warm bed waiting for me. I climb in and find myself drifting back to sleep. I don't even fight it and eventually Ace wakes me up with the most delicious looking breakfast. He climbs back into bed turning his tv on and scrolling through all the selections until he picks a random movie. He kisses my forehead putting his arm around me. I continue to eat as the movie plays and when Im done Ace is fast asleep. I set the tray of food on the floor and fall asleep in his arms. I wake up to yelling. "What do you mean you're just friends? She's in your bed Ace? You were holding her?! Her head was rested on your shoulder! That's not very friendly." That's Nova's voice. I climb out of the bed and walk into the hallway everybody's attention snaps to me. Otto's staring at me in complete shock. I rub my head. How is this happening? Is this a fever dream? "I thought yall were on a mission." I mumble rubbing my head. Nova scoffs and pinches the bridge of her nose. "You know Aurora yeah we were but Otto got some of his men to do it... because I got a text..." she pauses when she sees the realization in my face. "Ajax." She scoffs nodding her head. "He said you and Ace had something romantic going on... and I didn't believe him, so I had to see for myself. And he was right. Y'all have some explaining to do..." I look down at my feet. "How long? How long have you two been... God what even are you two doing!" She's extremely stressed. "It's been a couple of months, and it is to be determined." I raise and eyebrow looking at Ace. "Were dating." He mumbled. And Nova turns pale. "Dating!?" Her voice cracks. Otto's staying extremely silent but I know he's just as mad if not even more mad. "You two have been fucking.... For a couple of months..." She points between Ace and I with a mix of shock and horror on her face. "This ends now... because he's your bodyguard Aurora.. He's here to keep you safe, not make you..." she pauses, smacking her forehead. "He's here to keep you safe, not fulfill your needs." oh great. Ace and I are both completely red, there's no way she just said that. Ace is smirking... oh my god why is Ace smirking. "Okay fine well stop... no more us okay? Happy!?" I yell storming off. You'd think Nova would be supportive. Happy her little sister finally found somebody who treated her like an actual princess, took care of her... loved her. And dont worry im not ending it with Ace, I.. I think I love him. No I know I love him. Ace walks into his room. And the rest of the day goes by without us saying a word to each other. He takes me to get food and I say nothing... he says nothing. The sexual tension is only growing. I still can't feel my legs by the way. His hands are gripping the wheel and he's not looking over at me. I can't help but take a peak every so often. I sigh and turn out of the window. We arrive home and part ways. Nova and Otto leave in a week. And as soon as they're gone the sex is going to be insane. I finally found somebody who treats me amazing and will literally kill for me. And I'm not going to let anybody stand in the way of that. Because I fucking deserve this.
