Chapter Fifteen: Ace

It's been about an hour and I can hear the music blaring from Aurora's room. I decided to not distract her so I'm sitting on the sofa scrolling through insta reels, When I hear a door creak open and a goddess appears at the edge of the stairs. "Holy fuck." I whisper and I see a smile appear on her face. She's wearing a long black dress with a slit going all the way down her leg, with black red bottoms on. She's smiling right at me. "My girl." I mutter as I grab her by the waist and kissing her. She giggles and I can tell i've made her nervous. "So fucking gorgeous." I spin her around as she giggles. I guide her to the car and open the door helping her in. I kiss her one more time before shutting the door. I back out of the garage and we begin pulling out of the driveway.

When we arrive at the restaurant a valet takes our car and parks it. Im guiding her through the restaurant holding onto her hand. We get to the VIP section and she looks at me shocked. "Ace..." She whispers.. I smile and nod. "It's our first actual date, where we don't have to be secretive and sneak around. Its special princess." She smiles at me grabbing her menu. A waiter walks over and Aurora shifts in her seat uncomfortably. "Hey Ror... long time no see." He smiles at her but she's not smiling back, she's gotten a shade lighter. "Hey Ryan." She pauses looking over at me. "Ryan this is Ace, my boyfriend. Ace this is Ryan my ex." I feel my heart sink. The ex? The ex that put Aurora through hell mentally and physically. "I see you've uh... cleaned yourself up huh?" Her foot is rubbing mine. "Yeah a couple months after you left actually." He's not looking at her anymore. He scratches his head and makes an attempt to change the subject. "So what would you like to drink tonight guys." Aurora looks him up and down and I can tell this isn't going to end well for either of them. "So anybody new Ryan?" He shakes his head no. She nods. "That's good. Nobody else to fall victim to your facade." He frowns and I can tell this is only going to go downhill. "See here's the thing Ryan... I really wish that I could say that what you did didn't phase me but it did." I can see his cheeks turning red out of embarrassment. "And god you know." She pauses licking her lips. "You know what no means now?" She's leaning on the table with her hands folded staring directly at him. His body stiffens. "Aurora... Can we not do this please?" She scoffs shaking her head. "Is this your way of asking me to stop?" She laughs. "Because if that's the case I think i'll pull the same card as you. No." Her voice is filled with anger. Ryan turns to look at me but I just shrug. "Looking for a way out but can't find one? Why don't you just leave huh? Just leave and don't look back?" She pauses. "Thats what your fucking parents said to me when I told them. They fucking defended you Ryan. Defended you." He finger is digging into the table. "And I should have listened to that first part left and not looked back. But I loved you thought I could change you, remind you of when times were good." Ryan shuffles uncomfortably. "Do you even know what love is?" She questions. "Aurora, I'm sorry." He's not looking at her. This isn't going to end well. "Your sorry? Your fucking sorry? Your sorry for breaking me into a million pieces and leaving those pisces for another man to pick up and glue back together because you were to much of a pussy to treat me right?" Her voice is only filling with more anger and I know I said this wasn't going to end well earlier but I definitely didn't expect what was next. "You don't understand Aurora, I was going through shit." Her face falls emotionless and she stares at him. She begins to stand up and pushes her way out of the booth. He's hovering over her but that doesn't seem to bother her. She punches him in the face causing him to stumble back. Two other waiters rush over and begin to threaten to call the police. "No call the police please Id love to tell them all about this." Aurora says waving her hand up and down at Ryan whose being held up. He shakes his head. "No dont its fine, were all good." Aurora walks up placing her hands on his shoulders kneeing him in the nuts. "Damn." I whisper. She grabs her purse and walks back over to Ryan. "I hope you live a hard miserable life knowing all the hell you put me through. I hope you never get a good night's sleep again you disgusting piece of shit." She grabs my hand. "Ace lets go." She leads me out of the restaurant and I don't say anything on the entire ride home. I think she needs space to process what all just happened and cool off.

When we pull into the driveway she opens the car door and walks inside taking her heels off. She walks into her room shutting the door and I hear the shower cut on. 15 minutes later I hear the water cut off. 5 minutes later. She walks into my room with my shirt and her hair in a messy bun. She crawls onto my bed and I wrap my arms around her just holding her. She looks up at me. "Sorry for ruining our night, but seeing him just triggered something in me." She frowns and kisses my arm. I turn her head to look at me "I'm so proud of you. That was a very brave thing you did. And it was extremely hot." She laughs at me and kisses me on the lips. "God I love you Ace." I feel my stomach do a flip, hearing her say that to me first and not just as a reply to me saying that makes me feel some type of way. "Was I being delusional or did I make his face bleed?" She giggles a little. I shake my head laughing. "Yes you did." I say extremely proud of her, but also a little curious as to why exactly she needs a bodyguard after seeing the punch she threw. She lays there in silence for a minute. "I think I kneed him hard enough to not have kids. They don't deserve a father like that, and he doesnt deserve children." I kiss her head. "I'm proud of you." She smiles up at me. "You know..." She pauses grinning. "You know if you really think about it.. I probably am going to end up famous." I raise my eyebrow at her comment. "Somebody recorded the whole thing." She begins laughing. I sigh shaking my head. She just beat the absolute dog shit out of her abuser and she's focused on going viral. She looks up at me smiling. "What you thinking about? If I could take you down." I pull my arms off of her in shock. "Oh you could not." I respond defensively she laughs standing up and walking to the other side of the bed. "Want to test that theory?" I stand up and begin running at her. Damn her punches really do hurt. I sweep under her and throw her over my shoulder. She begins kicking and punching. "Put me down." I laugh and throw her on the bed climbing on top of her. She holds eye contact with our breaths trying to catch up. "Ace." She whispers, staring into my eyes. "I really want you inside me right now." I smirk. "Your wish is my command princess."
