I feel someone squeeze my hand and light starts to shine through as I open my eyes. I glance around the room to see that I'm no longer in the chemistry class. Huh? Where am I? Ow! I reach my hand up to my head as an excruciating pain erupts all of sudden. What happened? As I lie there, the events of what happened earlier flash through my head. Oh right, Dane and I got into a fight then he punched me and knocked me out. Man, he's strong. I must be in the nurse's office right now.

"Thank goodness you're awake," a voice says snapping me out of my thoughts. I glance to the side, expecting to see Lettie there because she was beside me before I went unconscious, but it's not. Instead I look up to see Shane sitting in a chair beside the bed that I am currently lying in. Two blankets cover my body, keeping warm. Lettie must have told him what happened. How else would he have known?

"H... hi," I greet him struggling to find my voice. I go to sit up, but he stops me and places his hand on my arm. I sigh as I lie back down. "How long have I been out?"

"Not that long actually," he responds with a shrug, "It is the end of school day though."

"Oh, did you wait here all this time for me to wake up?" I ask in curiosity. He nods in response. I immediately feel guilt wash over me. "I'm sorry I made you wait. You didn't have to wait though."

"I know, but I was worried," he replies as he smiles gently at me, "How are you feeling right now?" I sigh as I rock my head from side to side. "Does it hurt anywhere?"

"My head a little because I plowed right into the wall," I answer with a heavy sigh. He nods as he leans over. "What are you doing?" He doesn't respond though. He keeps leaning over until finally I feel his lips against my forehead. My eyes widen at this. He gives me a soft kiss on my forehead before pulling away.

"Does that feel better?" He asks curiously and worriedly. I simply nod in response and give him a smile of appreciation. It actually does too, but it's just because I'm not thinking about the pain right now. I'm thinking more about the fact that he just kissed my forehead. "When Leticia told me that Dane punched you and that you were bleeding I swear I almost had a heartattack." I giggle at this.

"Sorry for making you worry," I apologize as I squeeze his hand. He squeezes his back and smiles at me.

"It's fine, as long as you're ok then I'll forgive you," he retorts with a small smirk tugging at his lips. I smile back at him. He always knows how to make me smile or laugh. As I smile at him, out of the corner of my eye I notice something flinch. I snap my head towards the door to see the shadow of a figure standing there. I eye it suspiciously. "What are you looking at?"

"It's probably nothing, but I think someone's standing at the door or at least beside it," I voice as I gesture to the door. He glances back at the door too and as he does the shadow moves and seems to race away. Huh. I wonder if he saw that.

"There was definitely someone there," he states as he narrows his eyes, "I'll be back in a bit. I'll go see who it is." I nod in understanding as he lets go of my hand and leaves the room. I heave a heavy sigh as I lie there in the nurse's office. I feel my eye lids start to feel heavy, but just before they close two people walk into the room. I open my eyes to see Lettie and Ian walking in, holding hands.

"Lena! Thank goodness!" She exclaims as she sighs in relief.

"Hey," I greet her in a low whisper. She smiles as she sits beside me and holds onto my hand. "I'm sorry if I worried you."

"Oh, Lena sweetie it's ok. I'm majorly pissed off at Dane though," she begins to let off steam, "What is his problem? I mean, how dare he punch you like that! And say lies about you like that!"
