Dinner with the Harries

“Belle can you come downstairs and welcome our guests” Jeremy’s voice rang from the intercom I ran to the intercom and said” Sure thing Jeremy I’ll be right down” I took one last look in my mirror I was wearing a pink lace dress that went about mid-thigh with white pumps and my hair falling down in curls I was happy with my reflection and proceeded down the two flights of stairs once I was at the top of the last flight I stopped there he was Finn I remember having a crush on him from before I left for New York of course then I was short chubby with glasses and he had no clue I existed but, whatevs I glided down the steps when Mrs. Harries saw me she immediately squealed “Mia My you have grown up you look beautiful” I smiled and gave her a hug I looked over towards Finn he just Blushed and Looked down that’s weird I looked back at Mrs. Harries “Thanks you also look lovely tonight” “Thank you Mia” I looked at Jack and said “Hello” “Hello Mia” he said with a cheeky grin and a wink. I looked to Finn “Hi I’m Mia” he looked up kind of startled. “Hi Mia it’s nice to meet you” just then our chef Jefferson announced that dinner was served. We all walked into the dining room I sat in between Jack and Finn with Emmy across from me and my Brothers on either side of her then with mum, Jeremy and Mr. and Mrs. Harries on the one end. “So Mia Your mother tells me you are in University” Mrs. Harries asks me, “actually I finished University” I said with a grin. “Really already, where did you go and what do you study” Mr. Harries asks “ I went to the University of Columbia and I have my Masters in Fashion Design” “Columbia University that’s a very prestigious school is it not” Mr. Harries asks “Yes it is” I reply “Mia is also a professional shopper, Just today she spent what was it honey twenty thousand” my mum says “ twenty two thousand” the entire Harries family choke on whatever was in their mouths. “Twenty two thousand” Mrs. Harries is able to get out in between her coughs. “Yes it’s was not the best of shopping days but it was fun” “if you spend money like that you’re going to bankrupt your parents” Mr. Harries says with a concerned look. I just chuckle “I use my own money and If I go bankrupt I would probably be called the worst person on earth when it comes to money” “Where do you get all this money whatever it is sigh me up” little Emmy says with a smile. “Well how I got it you don’t want to happen” I said with a frown everyone looks on curiously “the whole reason I returned to London is because My father died last year me being his only child I got everything his estate was worth 33 billion” the entire harries family’s faces look like I just committed a murder before their eyes.
