We start off our story with the entire MLB gang at the Seine. Marinette, Adrien, Alya, Nino, Chloe, Luka, Rose, Juleka, Nathaniel, Mylene, Ivan, Marc, Lila, Kim, Max, Alix, Kagami, and Sabrina. It's the summertime, so it's the best time for them all to relax. Well, expect one. Adrien, who is in his regular clothes despite everyone else wearing their swimsuits, sitting like a complete loner. "Dang. He's still sad about the whole, Dad being Hawkmoth thing?" Alya asked. "Don't try to insult him," Marinette replied. "I wasn't. Just saying." Alya said. "[sighs]. To think that the boy of my dreams would be related to a supervillain." Marinette replied. "That really can affect you brutally. Do you know what he is going to do now that he didn't get into the school he wanted?" Alya asked. "He said Nathalie is trying to figure that out. It's hard enough for them to get back on track with money. It's another thing to worry about his education. But, I'm sure they'll find a way around it." Marinette replied. "It's going to be ok for him. We do have his back in the end." Alya said. "[smiles]. As always." Marinette replied. Alya then walks away, as someone else takes her place. "Yeah. It's sad to see him suffer. To think he finally caught a break." Lila said. "Oh, you," Marinette replied upset. "What? Still mad about the whole non-truth stuff?" Lila asked. "Yes, but always what happened recently. Remember Jack Edgers? The guy who was very sad when he had to leave? Yeah. I heard what you said about his anger issues. Trying to make him the bad guy when he's not." Marinette replied. "I told you I'll do what it takes to get what I want. Unlike you, who barely even tries. But, I want no beef. It's summer, and I wish to enjoy it. Besides, not everyone could make it for this event." Lila said. "Yeah. Jack did tell us he is too busy back home." Marinette replied. "I meant, I mean, never mind," Lila said as she still misses Nooroo. Soon, Adrien gets up and starts to leave. Marinette sees this and acts fast. "Hey! Where are you going?" Marinette asked. "Home. I mean, I'm not even having any fun here." Adrien replied. "You can't say that. You always have fun with us." Marinette said. "Before I found out my Dad's true colors. I love you Marinette, but... I don't think it's the right time for me to be here. No, I'm not breaking up with you, nor the others. I just... need more time." Adrien replied. "I understand. Just don't close yourself off from us forever. It's not going to help you." Marinette said. "Thanks," Adrien replied before he kissed Marinette on the cheek.

    He proceeds to walk away, as in the far back, a clawer spies on them all. His POV is shown on the screen back at Essence's lair, where Jack, in his normal outfit from the start, sits with the kwamis. "To think my nemesis called himself strong, and powerful. Yet, he just proved he's too putrid to be considered strong. Get it? Purrtrid?" Jack asked as he laughed making a cat pun. Duusu flies next to Nooroo in so much rage. "You lucky I won't use my powers on my own. I'd rather die taking you out if it means no one else, especially Adrien, suffers under your hands." Duusu said. "Really?" Jack asked he he stared manically at Duusu. "[sighs]. No." Duusu replied defeated. "The only strong aspect of you my feathered friend, is the fact that I was your holder," Jack said. Suddenly, a clawer enters the room. "Sir. I'm back with progress reports." Clawer said. "Excellent. Show me." Jack ordered. He takes the iPad with the reports. On it, are reports of side hustles Jack has been running. His attacks were in NYC, and Shanghai, but also now in Brazil, and Japan. "NYC is a work in progress with my new plan. Shanghai was a mess to begin with. Brazil, save that for another time. More importantly, Japan. Perfect work on this report. We're going to get that win for sure." Jack said. "About that. You failed in Shanghai, sir. And NYC, twice. I understand you tricked the entire world into thinking your Father is dead, but how will you bounce back from this?" Clawer asked. "Because my metal ally, I am two steps ahead of everyone in the chess game. I'm stronger, smarter, and have the best mindset out of them all. Either my failures are meant to be stepping stones to build me up, or illusions to lead them to something bigger.  It took me long enough to checkmate Gabriel's team, and now, it's time to do the same with Team Miraculous! And the United Heroez! And Ladydragon! And all the others!" Jack yelled as he laughed villainously.
