"Ms. Diggory." A monotone voice called as Lucy stepped down from the carriage

She turned to see her head of house looking at her, "Yes, Professor Snape?" She asked

Syrax stood up straighter and gave a rumble. The she-dragon didn't like the man, didn't like the disdain he had for her rider.

"Come with me." He said before turning away, his cloak swishing behind him

She sighed. It was moments like this where she wished she was sorted into any other house rather than Slytherin.

She hated Professor Snape. She hated the way he picked the students, especially Luna, Neville, and Hermione. She hated his prejudice against her simply because she was spirit bound.

The man was a miserable old bat who never should have become a professor.

He led her across the entrance hall, up the marble star case, and along a corridor. He opened the door and walked in. Lucy was surprised to see that it was Professor McGonagall's office and that she, Harry and Hermione were already there.

"Ms. Diggory as requested." Snape said before leaving

"Ah, Ms. Diggory. As I was just telling Mr. Potter, Professor Lupin sent an owl ahead to say that you both had taken ill on the train."

Before they could reply, there was a soft knock on the door and Madame Pomfrey came bustling in. The woman cupped Lucy's cheeks and felt her forehead and then did the same to Harry.

"I'm fine," said Harry, "I don't need anything—"

"Oh, it's you, is it?" Madam Pomfrey cut him off, "I suppose you've been doing something dangerous again? And you dragged poor Lucenya into it."

"It was a dementor, Poppy." McGonagall told the woman

They exchanged a dark look.

"I'm fine, Professor McGonagall, Madam Pomfrey." Lucy replied with a small smile, "Syrax and Professor Lupin helped. Although, since the dementor, my body temperature is lower than normal."

The nurse shook her head, "Setting dementors around a school." She muttered, "He won't be the last one who collapses. As for Ms. Diggory, I'm afraid this is only the beginning of your visits to me."

Lucy sighed as she petted Syrax. The last thing she needed was to be affected by dementors every time one was around.

"Professor McGonagall, Madam Pomfrey, might I head to the feast?" The resurrected teen asked, "Minus a lower body temperature, I'm fine."

The two women shared a look before looking back at Lucy.

"If you insist, dear, but if you feel faint, come see me." Madam Pomfrey instructed her

Lucy nodded, "Of course." She said

She gave a smile to Hermione before heading to the Great Hall.

She entered the Great Hall in the middle of the sorting, however, minus a few, no one noticed her and Syrax.

"Where have you been? I didn't see you on the train." Theodore Nott Jr. said as she sat down at the Slytherin table

The boy was one of the few that didn't avoid her.

Lucy shrugged, "I sat with Luna on the train. Then when the lights went out, I went to investigate, ended up in Harry's compartment and then had the pleasure of meeting a dementor, then had to go see Madam Pomfrey."
