"Go kreacher GO!" he yelled as the infrei came at them.
He was all alone in the cave now. He tried to remember what repelled infrei as they were grabbing at him. "Fire" he muttered under his breath, then louder "INCENDEO"
The infrei fled back to the water. He got on the tiny boat for two and left. Once he was out of the cave he then realised that by tomorrow everyone will think he's dead. He sat on the rock and tried to list the people that would take him in.
Then it hit him. He apparated to godric's hollow transformed into his animagus -an orange kneezle- and walked a few blocks to his destination.
The potters.
James Potter never had a problem with him. He always said Sirius and I were alike in personalities, not just looks. Sirius was offended while I was honoured. And he wouldn't know it was me, i'd be in cat form and no one had to know.
He started meowing and scratching at the door. Then lily evans -well, she's potter now- opened it.
She gasped "you poor thing! James come here!"
James Potter showed up at the door, my brother in tow.
Sirius gasped too. "Can we keep him!?"
"Sirius, you don't even live here."
"But I practically do, I'm always here!"
"Lily, come on, look at it. He's too skinny, he obviously hasn't eaten in a while."
And he picked me up and set me on the couch in the living room.
He was right. I hadn't eaten in weeks, other than lunch every few days. I was trying to find out more about horcruxes.
Lily came in with some water and sandwich meat. "we don't have cat food so i think this will do" she put the bowls on the floor and i jumped off the couch. Well, I'm a cat now.
