Unconventional Hearts

a complication

Nova woke up early in the morning a big smile plastered on her face, she jumped off her bed and went into her bathroom taking a shower and brushing her teeth soon after, she brushed her hair which was a hassle as she read her book silently and quickly, she grabbed her backpack having some books in her arms as she got out the door turning back to close and lock it before quickly running towards the main city area.

She looked around breathing heavily before finding the place she needed to be, she ran towards a big looking campus which had a mouse in the logo "Lone Oak" She quickly ran past everyone else and got to the office breathing heavily, the woman who was at the front desk looked at her surprised

"Well did you run all the way here?" she asked as she smiled slightly "Yeah a-am i late?" she wheezed out of breath as she looked up at the lady earing just a chuckle from her "you're quite early we don't start till ten" the lady pointed to a clock which read "8:30" Nova stared at it silently "oh"

The lady laughed "oh dear well at least you have time to look around don't you?" she smiled kindly while Nova breathed heavily trying to catch her breath wheezing out silently in the background of her sentence "yeah...yeah i'll...i'll do that" Nova mumbled as she composed herself walking out of the office silently and slowly, she looked up the sun burning her eyes for a quick second before she looked down shutting her eyes, she opened them back up again as she felt the cool breeze hit her face.

She walked around silently, hearing some birds chirping and leaves rustling as the squirrels around took bites off their foods from atop the trees, she heard the students around her talking to themselves she saw a group and smiled "maybe I should make some friends" she thought to herself as she walked up to the group

"uh-Hi" she smiled waving at them the group of students just stared at her before they looked at each other and laughed silently as they left, Nova frowned but quickly regained her confidence "that's ok i'll just keep looking" she smiled as she talked to herself looking around but no one was.

She noticed how it was so quiet which was unusual before a loud "clank!" could be heard from above her she flinched and looked up seeing someone flying above her seeming to have hit the light post Nova stared at them with shock and followed silently, she suddenly stopped as she saw a bunch of people gathered around as the hero landed in the middle of it all, everyone seemed to go crazy as soon as he did everyone walking or running up to him begging for autographs and such.

Nova widened her eyes at the madness, she backed away silently as she saw a few more people run up to the crowd, that was before a loud spark shot up in the crowd making everyone yell and back away, the Hero looked up squinting his eyes before he widened them.

"Einar!" he yelled loudly, the man above who was Einar only laughed "Ohhh im so scared" 'Einar' said in a low tone as he stared at the hero with a smirk, The hero glared at him "get down here! Or is it that you're too scared to fight me?" The hero stared at him with a smirk crossing his arms earning a annoyed look from the villain "you think you're worthy enough to fight me?" He pointed at the hero and shot a green spark of lighting at him.

Everyone yelled as the light boomed through the city when the spark faded away everyone slowly looked back, only to see a pile of dust sitting there where the hero last was, a few moments of silence passed by before loud yelling was heard, everyone else yelled along as they started to scatter and run away fearful for their lives, Nova widened her eyes as she saw the pile of dust hearing a loud laugh roar through the city from the villain himself before he flew away.

Nova stayed there for a moment watching as the villain flew away before she looked back at the pile of dust some people even running over it, she looked around her watching as people ran away some even bumping into her, she ran back into the campus silently looking out.
