Sorry everyone for the super long break between this chapter and the last one. I did say that it should have been a quick upload but I've put the rest of episode two in this chapter plus some extra Oliver and Jay scenes so it's a lot longer than what I thought it would be :)

WARNING: Blood, medical treatment

Jay's POV:

"Are you okay?" I asked Oliver. He had walked out onto his balcony hunched over holding his left hand to his chest while he ran his right hand through his hair, failing in pushing it back as it fell straight back down to curtain his face. In all honesty, he looked like crap.

His hands were bruised and bleeding and he had a small cut on his forehead, though his medium length hair blocked it from his view as it fell forward to frame his face. He wore black jeans, an AC/DC top underneath a white hooded jacket and a short sleeved black flannel. All of which looked like it had just come out of the wash with how wrinkled the clothes were.

"What do you want?" Oliver grumbled, his voice sounded croaky, like he'd been crying.

"Well, you don't seem to be doing too hot and your hands are bloody and bruised," I pointed out as I leaned on the railing closest to Oliver's balcony. "Just wondering if you need someone to vent to instead of the walls and furniture in your room, cause clearly that isn't working."

Oliver scoffed and looked away from me, turning his attention out at the ocean. It was nice and calm at the moment, you could see the tide had come in to the point where it was almost flooding the bottom steps of the pathway up to the front doors.

"What is it with you ninja and always wanting to help those that don't want your help," Oliver asked, his tone lacking emotion as he spoke.

"I'm sorry, do you want me to leave so you can go back to wallowing in self pity or whatever?" I asked as I raised my eyebrow.

"I would prefer that, but I doubt you would," Oliver sighed. He looked down at his hand, flexing it and closing it. It didn't look that good. The bruising was getting worse and the cuts around his knuckles were still bleeding, but the blood didn't look right. It almost looked...black?

"Yeah, probably not. Uh, do you want me to get some ice and bandages for your hand?" I offered, retreating into my room before I could hear his reply.

Holy crap. That's not what blood is supposed to look like. Alright, Jay, breath. It's probably just a trick of the light, so I took a deep breath and moved into the bathroom. This place was built for a tournament, so there should be first aid stuff somewhere for the contestants to use.

I walked into the bathroom and made my way straight towards the sink that rested on the side wall. Underneath was a small cupboard. Opening the cupboard I found a bunch of toilet paper, towels, soap, and a first aid kit. Yes!

Grabbing the kit, I quickly walked back outside. Oliver was still standing on the balcony next to mine, bent over and holding something in his hand. It looked like a necklace. Huh, I didn't really think he'd be the type of person to wear a necklace.

Shaking my thoughts from my head, I hopped up onto the side of my balcony and jumped across to his, landing on the railing. I dropped down next to him, making a small thud. The noise caught Oliver's attention and he quickly tucked the necklace down his shirt, out of sight and turned towards me. This was the closest I've, or anyone really, now that I think about it, has ever been to him this whole time. If you don't count the time where he held Sensei G up against the wall on the boat.
