Warriors (fan fiction) Rosethorn's story

Chapter 1

Light filled my eyes as I opened them for the first time. They slowly flutter open and I look around. I see three cats around me. One was staring at me with fierce love shining in her eyes, her beautiful dappled pelt slightly camouflaged with her surroundings. Mother! I look around some more and I also see a silver gray tabby standing in the entrance of the den. He frowns slightly as I stare at him and he turns his head away from me, looking at the similar sized figure laying down next to me, eyes brimmed with love. I look at the small figure next to me and see a gray and silver tabby next to me. My sister! She looks like Father. I wobble to my paws and try to waddle to my father, tripping ten million times along the way. Father slowly backs away from me. He then turns around and leaves the den. I tilt my head slightly and let out a small mew. "Father?" I mew quietly. He stoppes and whips around to glare at me. Then he turns back around and leaves the clearing. I turn around tu stare at my mother in confusion. I tilt my head and she says, "don't worry young one, he is still mourning the siblings that have died. It's not your fault and he left to go and hunt. He loves you-" Mother cut off her sentence and tilts her head slightly, as though she is listening to something.

Mother suddenly stands up and my sister's eyes flutter open for the first time. Mother grabs my scruff and hides me and my sister under the nest. "Rose, Silver, stay here and stay quiet. Please!" She adds more moss. The pressure of all the moss presses us to the ground and suddenly, a small hole yawns before me and my sister. We both fall into the hole and I mew quietly to her "Hey Silver. What do you think is happening?". She stares at me for a bit and says "If I'm Silver that means your Rose. Also, I don't know. But here are two things I know, I want to get out of this small warm hole and I want to know what is going on." "Well, Mother told us to stay here but I really want to go outside!" I mew back. "Same" Silver says excitedly. I start trying to climb out of the hole with Silver helping me when a loud yowl sounds from outside. "YEEP!" I squeak with Silver. Quickly clamber out of the hole and help Silver out. I try squirm out from under the heavy moss. Both me and Silver's head pop from under the moss and we see Mother. I see Silver opening her mother to mew 'Mother' loudly but I poke her with my paw that I managed to move. I shake my head at Silver and she closes her mouth. Mother was panting outside, blood streaming from cuts around her body. She hisses at something the was hidden by the den walls. "How dare you betray me like this." She growls, her voice filled with hatred. A figure steps in sight for her and Silver. A figure that was sickeningly familiar. I suck in a sharp breath and whisper to Silver "That's our Father."
