The next morning I woke up on Appa. "Ughh where am I?" I said notecing Appa's sattle. "Appa!" i said happy. "Ahem" I heard Sokka say. "Sokka! Toph! Katara! Aang!" I said excidedly "I missed you guys so much!" I said. "Yea we missed you too" Katara said while everyone came in hugging me. "Why were you on that block of ice?" Katara asked. "And why arn't you with Zuko?" Sokka asked. The metioning of his name made me feel so bad and sick to my stomach I turned around from there faces. "I..I don't want to talk about it" I said notecing that the mood of happiness changed to sadness. "What happened? What did he do?" Katara said. "He didn't do anything it's just...I know what my next move is im going to help you defeat Ozai then I'll go home and be free" I said feeling a bit of pain. "Go home?" Toph said. "Can't you stay?" Katara asked. "How would you get home anyways?" Aang asked. "Rember when I turned in to a gaigantic flameing blue blob well I saw a blue dragon he said I knew when it would end so when everything was over I would have a choice to go home everything would be normal or I could stay here my family will never know I exsisted and I would never be real in that world" I explained and everything got quite for a minute.
"There it is" Aang said pointing at the volcano. "Well this'll be great I get to go on a active volcano" I said sarcasticly. Soon we had landed on the valcano.
"How long is this gunna take?" I asked. "Don't be so impatient" Katara said. "I guess Zuko rubbed it off on me" I said sheding a tear. "It might take a while" Aang said. "Okay so maybe we should go hunting" I said. "Good idea i'll go with you" Sokka said. "Maybe you should stay here with Toph and I have something for you" I said. I saw Sokka's face excited. "Well leave you too it Aang" I said and left over to where Appa was. "Yall did bring my stuff right?" I asked. "Yea it over here" Sokka said. "And pretty heavy" Toph added. "Thats only my training set well part of it" I said takeing it out with my mind. I made a wide rectangle with the inside all cut out. Then I grabed a chain and tied it to the punching bag then hung it up. "Okay Sokka what you're looking at is a punching bag" I said. I went to my bag takeing out the two gloves. "I made two sets of gloves I have mine and I brought the ones I had made for Zuko" I said blushing yet getting sad at the same time. "You can use Zuko's scince you're hand is bugger than mine" I said handing him the gloves. "Huh they're soft on the inside yet hard" Sokka said as he put them on. "Yea it's not exactly the good type scince its home made but it'll do now the punching bag is like a dummy that won't break it'll help you keep you in dhape and strengthen you're arm muscles and if you use you're legs then those too I wan't you to practice until im gone and Toph it's stricly a no bending tool" I said warning her.
I went to the water and helped Katara make a big boat out of ice. We got on top and made waves pushing us in to the deeper parts of the water. "So how were things while I was gone?" I asked. "We missed you a lot and were worried but you know the rest" Katara said as she collected a fish. "Yea well I was fine I was actually in the firenation palace to them I was a honored vistor but it felt like prision" I said rembering Iroh. I turned my body away from her and let tears fall down my cheeks. "Something happened....not just something but more than that" Katara said. I just kept quiet. "You know it won't be good to keep it bottled up inside" Katara said. When she said that it made me think of Mai and Zuko. I looked deep in to the water and saw Zuko in his room confused. I touched the water and it just moved Zuko's reflection. "Zuko." I whisspered low. Katara looked over my shoulder at the water. "Is that.....Zuko?" Katara asked. I just noded at her. "I don't understand.........thats.....incredible" Katara said amazed. "Yea I just learned about it last night along with something else" I said turning clear ice blue as the ice. "Thats amazing" Katara said in astonishment. "Yea but I don't want it I have unlimited power and one day I'll go off so hard and destroy the world" I said sadly. "What's wrong? Somethings bothering you and it's about Zuko" Katara said. I turned over to her and decided to tell her I sighed. "Well it's sorta of a long story" I said as I grabed a fish and put it in the basket. "Well tell me" Katara said wanting to know. "Well it all started in Bai Sing Sai after you guys left Zuko had changed back to himself the one that wants the avatar but then he turned worse" I started to explain. "I returned to the fire nation palace with him and Ozai approved of me as Zuko's girlfreind I pretended to be the person I used to be a killer and then at the end I relized I was one" I said. "I stayed in Zuko's room usually and when we went out people would stare at us and I could feel him angry because people stared at me I know it was just jelousey wich I found cute but sometimes he over did it" I explained. "Zuko and me were treated like royality and I meet Azula, Mai and Tai Lee" I said and saw Katara's expresion. "So you infiltrated the place" Katara said. "Not exactly Zuko said I would work with Ozai on his side as allie in order to keep me alive and Oxai was happy that me and Zuko would be the strongest couple in the world he even said I was beautiful wich is gross" I said. "That sorta is gross but you are beautiful" Katara said and I shook my head. "I don't see that beauty only the one with in and mine is ugly for killing so many people but as soon as I get back to the real world it won't matter" I said. "You are beautiful from inside and out" Katara said. "Thanks" I said tk her. "So what happened next?" Katara asked. "I got close with Azula and Tai Lee" I said. "Azula is cold and heartless her only pain is that her own mother never loved her as much as she did to Zuko and Tai Lee grew up as a girl with no identy her sisters all looked the same" I explained. "What about Mai?" Katara asked. I put my hands to my face and let a wave of tears fall. "I'll get to it" I said. "After I started to hang out with them we went to a beach" I said. "Me and Zuko had fun but it sorta changed Zuko blew up at a party when a random guy started to talk to me I mean I didn't think it was bad he reactedlike that cause any boyfreind would but with a small shove the guy was on top of a broken vase on the other side of the room" I explained. "Wow he must really like you" Katara said. "I know but he can't" I said picking up another fish. "So anyways when Zuko left the lame partyi beat up the guy and went after Zuko to his old beach house where he told me everything" I said. "Ever scince we came back from Bai Sing Sai he was distant keeping away from me yet he still protected me Zuko became impateunt, high strung and crazy than ever" I explained. "That might be bad for us" Katara said. "I doubt it" I said. "Well what did he tell you?" Katara asked. "He told me Mai had kissed him on the night we went back to the fire nation she knew I loved Zuko but she kissed him anyways I was uncounses" I said crying. "I understood that it was her fault but it hurt knowing that it happened then we went down to the beach and things got worse" I said letting salty tears fill up in my eyes. "I didn't say anytjing to Zuko about it I just said I understood when we went down to the beach we talked about our childhoods Mai was quite always gloomy and never expressed herself and I regret asking her to because all she said was i love Zuko out loud" I explained. "The kiss her likeing him I understood why she was distant from me but I acted like not careing for Zuko in order to show Azula I had no weakness I know she's comeing to destroy me but I needed to make sure I had no weakness" I said. "So then what did you hurt her?" Katara asked and I shook my head. "Katara Mai and Zuko are supposed to be together I can't change that I knew the day would come to leave him but even when I told myself I was ready I knew I couldn't let him go I prommised him to be at his side, love him forever and I broke them I told him he didn't have to choose I was letting him go so he cpuld be with his rightful girlfreind he tryed stopeing me but I left on the block of ice I looked back and saw a huge fire go up in the air then Mai hugged Zuko and they kissed" I said sobbing I was glad I had told Katara because I couldn't keep it in much longer. I felt Katara hug me in her arms just the way Zuko did. "I knew he would choose her I just don't understand why im so stuborn to be with him I love him but but I know it's not ment to be I just don't understand why my heart says to follow him and my brain says to go home with my family" I said through sobs. "It's okay you'll be fine you're just confused" Katara said patting my back. "This is why I could never love anyone not even back hom I didn't expect for myself to survive the age of seventeen" I said honestly. "Wow" Katara said. "Yea in the problems im in I'll just go home and kill myself that's the only thing that truley means freedom" I explained. "You can't go back even if you don't have Zuko you have us" Katara said. "Katara I can go home and die or stay here knowing the guy who broke my heart is alive with someone else it's safer for me to go home" I said. "You're staying here and...I wanted to ask what happened to Iroh?" Katara asked. "Zuko turned him in Iroh's in jail" I said quietly. "Sometimes I honestly don't know how you had a baby with him or even like him" Katara said a bit angry. "Because I know him better than anyone else and I understand him besides I still know there's good inside him and I have complete hope for him because no matter how heart broken I am I will wait for him until I leave" I said. "Well you shouldn't you're way to strong, pretty, and smart for him he's an idiot" Katara said. "He didn't break up with me I did because he's destined to be with Mai well until a year or so then Mai breaks up with him" I said.
"So after you broke up with Zuko you sailed over here" Katara guessed. "Not exactly I snuck back in to the palace where I had my bag and stuff I couldn't leave it behind so I went to go get it on my way I heard some gaurds talking about a trap and me and Zuko they ploted to capture me and kill me scince I wasn't on there side anymore my stuff was bait to capture me but I got away and after that I ended up with you guys" I explained. I could feel my eyes still tearing and puffy red.
"Don't worry everything will be fine you're here with you're frends" Katara said almost smiling. "Thanks but I can't stay forever even though I wish I could I still miss my family and who knows how they're doing with out me they could be sick or one of them dead I just need to figure out what's going on in my world how things are" I said still crying. "Can't you just stay we all missed you when you weren't here and we'll miss you even more" Katara said. "I don't think it's a good idea to know im in the same world as Zuko" I said. "You really like him don't you" Katara said I noded and started to cry even more I didn't understand why it was so painful why was I still holding on to him when I knew I lost him.
I looked in to the water to see Zuko he was in the palace with Mai. He walked next to her but didn't hold hands or anything. I decided to talk to him. "Zuko" I said in my mind. All I could see was pain, misery and confusion in his mind. He was batteling on who he loved more me or Mai. "Zuko I....I im so sorry I had to do it I knew it would end like this and so did you im so sorry I said I didn't care because I wanted Azula to know I had no weakness in me but I love you more than anything im sorry it's just you and Mai are supposed to be together and I can't interfer im sorry but trust me it hurt me more then it did you" I said in my mind hopeing he would listen but I didn't get anything like he was blocking me somehow.
"I think we should get back we have enough" Katara said pointing at the basket. "Yea sure okay" I said. I grabed water and used the healing to make the red puffyness go away. "Hey everythings going to be fine" Katara said reasuring me. "Yea but I don't think I can stand not being with Zuko I can never sleep or eat I always have nightmares its like he protects me but what am I gunna say when the others ask me about him I know I'll break down im so weak even though I have all this power im so useless" I said. I felt that I was weak I was worthless just an extra person to help in this world I wasn't important.
We arrived back at about sunset and I toasted the fish. I went to go eat fruit and vegtables with Aang and had a bit of fish. "So how was the trip?" Sokka asked. "It....was okay" I said trying to hold back the tears. "So did you uhh practice like I told you?" I asked Sokka. "Ohhh yea of course I did" Sokka said. "I can tell you're lying" I said. "What did he really do?" I asked Toph. "He just layed around looking at the clouds although I had fun with it" Toph said happy. "Please tell me you didn't use bending" I said. "It's fine but it really helped" Toph said. "Good but for normal people like Sokka its a heavy instrument for us benders its delicate" I explained. "And scince its homemade it might not last long" I said. "Well I did practice for a bit" Sokka confesed. "Ohh that reminds me" I said grabbing my bag. I pulled out the meteior. "When the metior shower came the next day I went out to find the metioir and it was easy it's just a big rock full of strong iron and bits of other materials I sent the plans for a few guns and make bullets and I also wanted to make a shaped anklet almost like Tophs" I explained. "And I have enough to give each of you a peice" I said handing everyone a pound of the rock. "I don't get it why's it so important?" Aang asked. "For starters rocks can be used for so many things or to make things and the minerals it contains are very useful iron is strong for armor and swords, knives" I explained. "Well I guess I never thought of it that way" Aang said. "Yea and if this was my world a few pounds of this rock would make you a millionare scientest and goverment researchers pay a lot for this scince it comes from space" I said. "So it is space rock" Sokka said. "Well sorta we don't really consider like that scince it has earth minerals but yea whatever" I said. "Its late I think im going to sleep" Toph said walking a few feet away and makeing a tent. "Yea I am pretty tierd from all that trainning" Sokka said trying to flex and I started to laugh. "Yea that spirit world journey was exahusting" Aang said going over to Appa. "Yea goodnight guys" I said falling on Appa and trying to sleep.
