The Eleventh Doctor was ecstatically running with River Song along with his companions as guards were chasing them down. People immediately got out of the way as the group ran by, River Song yelling into a blue beaded bracelet on her wrist.
"I need a portal now!" she exclaimed. "I have three others en route with me!"
"Care to explain where we're going?" The Doctor exclaimed.
"You'll see when we get there!" They continued running, the guards still chasing them down. The Doctor noticed some leaky pipes poking out of one of the walls as they turned a corner and as they passed, River shouted, "Now!"
The pipes burst just as the guards came into view and they all screamed and slipped as they were hit with hot steam.
"Portal incoming!" A voice from the bracelet yelled.
A blue circular orb of energy appeared about thirty meters ahead of them and as it got bigger, River increased speed. "Hurry!"
Alarms began going off in the entire place, more guards appeared to continue their pursuit and the companions and the Doctor were running out of breath. As they reached the portal, River jumped on through and turned, urging the others to pass through. The Doctor assured his companions they'd be okay and they all went through immediately. The portal closed and River huffed, bending at the hips to catch her breath. They were in a different area of the Nexus now, a large room with pipes, a few chairs and a chalkboard. There was a blue door at one end.
"Where are we?" Amy asked.
"Secret hideout," River explained as she checked over her gun. "We have to go through the door, we have friends there."
"We do?" Rory inquired with confusion.
"Yes. Other Figgies..." she answered before approaching the door. She knocked with three taps, then three scratches, then three taps.
A smaller door appeared and opened, revealing a man's face. "River!" he yelled in a British accent before the door unlocked and opened, revealing a tall, lanky man dressed in black and green leather attire. His long strawberry blonde hair was slicked back and his smile was charming yet a little menacing. "More Figgies?"
River grinned before looking at the Doctor. "Of sorts. I'm not entirely sure but...they certainly do look like Figgies."
The man smirked more before motioning them in. "Well, they don't feel like gods."
"Gods?" The Doctor asked as they walked into another room that was filled with other people. The room itself was in need of serious repair but there were various weapons and beds. Some were cleaning their weapons, some were resting, others were eating scraps of food. "Are you a god?"
"Yes," the man replied. "I'm Loki. We're Figgies from the mythology department."
The Doctor's face brightened. "Loki! God of Mischief! Is your brother here?"
Loki rolled his eyes. "Oh yes, you come face to face with greatness and you have the nerve to ask if my brother is here."
The Doctor frowned. "Nonsense, you're my favorite deity, to be honest. Thor can't turn into other animals, can he?"
"Technically we all can," another figment said, an elegant man in an Armani suit. His hair was black and short, his eyes brown, and his face was quite handsome. His accent was also British. "The people we were made after, not all of them have unlimited abilities but as figments, our powers are more suited for this environment."
"And you are?" Amy asked with an excited grin.
"Lucifer. Call me Lu."
"Lucifer?" Rory asked. "As in...the devil?"
