Bad regained consciousness with no knowledge of how long it had been. He was wrapped in someone warm. And white feathered wings wrapped around him. He looked up, "F-Forever?" He was disappointed to see it was actually a stranger holding him.

"It's okay, he's okay." The woman's voice was soft and inviting. "Everything's okay, I'm glad you finally reached for the light." The angel cupped his face and smiled.

Bad pulled away and looked around. They were in his castle, but everything had a soft glow to it. "Where am I?"

"The after..."

"After?"

"Heaven, perhaps?"

Bad's eyes bugged out. "but it looks just like my castle?"

"Heaven is a thin lining away from the mortal world. That way the humans can stay close to their loved ones." The angel fluffed up her wings happily. "I adore this place. Very beautiful, a shame darkness took it..."

"Wait– wait–" Bad was as mentally confused as any reader reading this story. "I can't be in heaven...I'm a demon, demons don't...they can't enter heaven."

The angel put a hand on top of Bad's head like he was a child again. "You're not just a demon...Your mother never told you that your other parent is an angel?"

"An angel?!" Bad rubbed his face. Suddenly so much made sense. "How do you know? What's your name?"

"I've been around so long that names seem silly. You can just call me mom." The angel pulled him close and hugged him again. "I've always wanted to see you again, but your mother..."

Bad pulled away. "y-you? Demons and angels can't even... my existence is impossible!"

"Then why are you here?" Mom said with a light giggle. "Come on now, your friend may be ready for your company."

"Forever? He...he's dead then?"

"Yes, luckily a few of your humans are. Things will be much easier for them here." Mom led Bad down the hall. Even though he lived in this castle for 100 years, it looked new. "Where's...my mother?"

"Mother is..." Mom looked down for a brief second. "Mother has been relocated to her territory."

"Is Mouse Okay?!" Bad panicked as he realized he had not seen her for a concerning length of time. He might as well be the worst brother ever.

"She's okay, she's not here though. She's still on the other side." Mom took Bad to the foyer. Forever was pacing in circles, rubbing his translucent hands over his face. "He may be a bit agitated. Humans adjust slower to concepts of other worlds."

Bad approached slowly. Even though he knew humans with souls got to come here when they die, he was shocked. He didn't expect dead people to look so real. "F-Forever?"

Forever looked over and breathed a sigh of relief. "Bad!" He ran and landed in Bad's arms. "I'm dead!"

"I know..." Bad squeezed him. Happy that he could hold Forever tight. Because he was part from this world, he could make physical contact with the dead. "I...I'm part angel."

"I thought so!" Forever smiled and cried. "I thought heaven would be...only happy? But I still feel so sad– so confused!"

Mom stepped forward. "It takes time to be happy here, just like on the other side. Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Give us a moment, yeah?" Forever looked at Bad.

Mom stepped back and faded into a million tiny lights.

"Oh gosh...this is...I'm impressed and I knew this place existed all along." Bad looked up into Forever's eyes. "Do you feel okay? I'm sorry I couldn't save you..."

Forever leaned down and kissed Bad on the lips. He kept it short and simple. "No pain, just sad..."

"I'm sorry..." Bad frowned.

"Do you need to...are you going to..." Forever took a deep breath. "Do you need my soul?"

"I...I don't think so? I feel more angelic then I ever have..."

"You look angelic..." Forever looked up and grinned. He put a hand near the halo that formed above Bad's horns. "I never know that...that something could exist as demon and angel..."

"I'm still...trying to wrap my head around it." Bad cleared his throat. "Do you...do you still want to get married?"

"You think...you think we could? Won't you have to go back to the...real world?"

"Why? My other mom's from here, this is my home too. I think?"

"Wow...you have two moms? Is crazy how...how this place is so okay with queer peoples."

"Yeah, humans tend to make things up to reinforce their own radical ideas...OH! I can't believe I forgot, is Bagi...is she here?"

"She went with family." Forever rubbed his shoulder. "They came in a ball of light and took her. She'll...be back I think."

"What about yours?" Bad's eyes lit up with excitement. "You could see them again!"

"They...they haven't come for me yet...but, they might!" Forever pressed himself into Bad to forget about his parents. "I want get married...now we can both be happy...for...forever?"

Bad felt a wave of eternal calm washing over him. Forever could never be taken from him, he was already dead. Eggpire had only made things better for them. "Well first things first...we have to find mom again and ask her a billion questions..."

"Ah, yes! I have so many! Like...is only Jesus real?"

"Oh, no. Forever, obviously there are many more gods and goddesses. That I do know– wait, where the heck is Skeppy?!"
