"It feels so lonely here..." Jauna looked around the street.

"It is a little bare..." Bad sighed. "I wish there were some kids here for you to play with."

Forever nudged him. "You want kids to die here?"

"Oh, yeah...crap..." Bad cleared his throat. "I guess It's good that there's no kids."

Jauna perked up. "I think I know where we can find kids!"

"Oh?" Forever didn't know if he should be excited or sad. "Where?"

"The orphanage!"

"Oh my..." Forever looked at Bad. "You're kingdom let orphans die in orphanage?"

"Oh my gosh...There probably isn't that many..."

-

"This is Pomme, This is Dapper, This is Leo, This is–"

"Oh my gosh!" Bad yelped and grabbed Forever's arm. "Why are there so many?!"

"S'okay. Relax...This is an better place." Forever looked at all the children's souls. They all looked happy, living eternally with each other. "You know these kids?"

"Some, yes." Jauna nodded.

"Do you think you like to stay here?" Forever suggested.

Jauna shook her head.

"Just until we find your dad." Bad added. "You could stay here and have some fun with kids your own age while you wait."

"I don't know..." Jauna looked around. Everything looked different in heaven, more inviting. But she was afraid if she stayed, she wouldn't see her dad again.

"Flippa?" A curious voice came down the stairs. It belonged to a girl holding flowers that had been given to her from the other side.

Jauna gasped. "Tilín!"

The two girls embraced for a long time before Jauna spoke again. "Tilín, what happened? I thought you were adopted?"

"Same to you." Tilín offered Jauna one of her flowers. "¿Qué pasó?" {What happened?}

"I got really sick. What happened to you?"

Tilín sighed and put the rest of the flowers down on a table. "Mi papa...he likes to drink."

"Estoy escuchando." {I'm listening.} Jauna tested out her rusty Spanish. She used to speak fluently with her deadbeat dad, but now he was gone and she was used to only English.

"Me dejó tomar alcohol. Todo lo que quería." {He let me have alcohol. Anything I wanted.} Tilín paused to look at Forever and Bad, wondering if they understood. "Me enfermé por el alcohol...y... ahora estoy muerto." {I got sick from alcohol... and... now I'm dead."

Jauna scrunched up her nose. "I think I understand...That's horrible!"

"Lo sé" {I know}. Tilín looked at Forever, immediately realizing he was dead too and not an angel by his lack of halo or wings. "Did you die with this guy? Is he your dad?"

"Oh, no." Jauna glanced at Forever. "I don't actually know him, or the angel. They are just keeping me company until I find my dad...he's dead too."

"Oh...what really happened mi amiga?"

"Well...I got infected by the code."

"The code?!" Tilín shivered. "The code is in the town now?"

"Outside, we were getting berries outside the wall to eat. A code attacked me, and I got an infection. My papa tried to find help, but no one could help. They just made it worse...so my papa had to cut my wrists and I went to sleep in his arms and never woke up. But he was supposed to die too." She said it so normally that it seemed like it had been planned out way in advance.

"O-oh my..." Forever looked at Bad. "That's so fucked up, excuse my words."

"No, I'll let out slide because what the..." Bad looked up, all the other kids looked equally as timid and horrified. They all stood quietly, listening.

"That's crazy!" Tilín grabbed Jauna's hands. "But you can be here with us now. We have a lot of fun everyday.

"Well..." Jauna looked at Bad. "Sir, will you come back to help me find my papa?"

"Of course. You stay here and have some fun, I'll try to find your papa." Bad looked down as Jauna was now in front of him with a hand extended. He shook her hand slowly. "What's this?"

"You shook my hand, now it's an honest deal. Please find my papa."

Bad and Forever went back to the castle and paced the halls.

"Bad, is her dad in uh...hell?"

Bad rubbed his face, his halo flickering with stress. "I think so...do you know how hard it is to actually go to hell when you die? Heaven tries to give everyone a chance. No one actually wants humans to suffer."

"Really?"

"You'd be crazy if you think the light wants to send people into an eternal fire pit because they smoked some weed or kissed someone the same gender as them." Bad sighed and leaned on the wall. "Gosh, what did that man do?"

"He did kill Jauna?" Forever mentioned and leaned on the wall.

"She was going to die anyway...it was mercy, and the light knew that. He would've had to of done worse..."

"Could you go to hell and find out?"

"I mean...I guess...but it's a rough place. It's easy to get stuck there or be distracted by all the malicious souls there. I mean hell is full of murderers, abusers and any other disgusting slime you can think of."

"Oh my God..." Forever paused. "Can I say that here?"

"Yes, Forever...What are we going to do? I feel so terrible for Jauna. And all those other kids."

Forever agreed. "Can I ask an question?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm scared to ask but I think is fine...is Richas okay?"

Bad didn't know for sure but he nodded. "Yeah, he's okay. Your friends will take care of him."

Forever went quiet for awhile before speaking again. "What do I do now? I have...no purpose."

Bad cupped Forever's cheeks. "You do whatever you want. Your purpose can be being the cutest human I ever saw." Bad kissed his face. "You'll settle in."

"I miss my friends and Richas already..."

"I know...but you will all reunite someday."

"Yeah...but I won't see Richas grow or anything...I won't see Roier and Cellbit be married. I know they will, they are in love."

"Oh...Roier is dead too, Forever."

"Oh..." Forever felt the anxiety but he didn't feel the panic. Heaven was trying hard to take away his mental pain. "Cellbit will not be okay.

"Your friends are with him."

Forever looked around. "Bad, why do I feel tired?"

"Could be leftover human feelings...or maybe souls like meditation too. You want to meditate?"

"Like uh...those people who sit on the floor with legs crossed?"

"Maybe? It's different than human meditation. It's stronger, helps you reflect on the universe and all that you've done so far. Makes you feel refreshed. Most demons meditate for a year at a time. Some do a few decades."

"I don't want to for so long."

"How about a few hours? It'll be like human sleep. It'll bring you familiar comfort."

"Okay, will you stay with me when I do?"

"Yeah, I'll stay with you. You know I will. Can I cuddle into you too?"

"Yes please, Querido."
