"Dramatic or natural?" I ask my client, referring to her baby hairs.
"Dramatic" She answers. I finish up her hair and take pictures.
"Thank youuuu" My client sings with a smile as she takes a bunch of selfies in the ring light.
"No problem. Send me videos for the ClientCam!" I put her payment in the cash box and let everyone know I'm going to lunch before heading to my car. As soon as I pull to the exit of the parking lot, Vince walks in front of my car and stares at me until my car is in park.
"Can you move?" I groan, my voice laced with attitude. I'm really getting sick of his antics.
"Let me talk to you."
"No"
"Hell you mean No??" He immediately responds.
I rev my engine and put my car back in drive, hoping he'll get the hint.
"So it's like that shawty?"
I quickly remove my foot off the gas, letting my car roll forward as it closes the short distance between us.
"Kay-Kaylynn. My bad." He corrects himself. "Look my bad. Can I just talk to you for a second?" He hops out the way and comes to my window, speaking nicely for once.
"Oh.." I say, baffled. "You do know how to ask for stuff."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"You're mean and rude as fu-hell. And you're always demanding me to do stuff rather than asking me. I don't do that." I speak sternly.
He stares at me for a second. "You're right. You're 100% correct. I been trippin and that's my bad.. You forgive me?"
I roll my eyes.
"I'm fa real Kay.. Can I call you that?"
I shrug my shoulders, feeling myself soften up as his nice-boy act continues.
"I'm serious. You right, I been talkin to you kinda sideways on some lame shit. I'll work on it and correct myself, aiight?"
"...Alright"
"Now can I treat you to lunch?" He smirks sinisterly.
"I guess" I smirk back.
He hops in my car and we start talking like regular adults for once. I pull up to the speaker at Zaxby's, being greeted by the cashier.
"Hi, can I please get your fried chicken Philly combo?"
"What time you gotta be back from lunch?" Vince asks.
"Boy that's my store. I come back when I feel like it." I chuckle. "And a Fanta fruit punch to drink please. With a side of hot honey mustard"
"Oop, okay then Boss lady." He jokes.
"Okay $9.87 at the first window please"
"Thank you."
"Let me steal a little more of your time then mamas" Vince grins, caressing my chin.
"Uhnt uhnt I don't wanna hang with you..." I tease as I pull up to the next window.
"Shawty please. No disrespect but I needed it that time." He pleads his case.
We both laugh. I grab my food and drink before thanking the young girl and pulling up to check my food.
"Oh you one of them." Vincent jokes. I give him a questioning look. "Always gotta check your food, sauces, doing everything."
