Alex's POV
As I was about to head out the door as I heard Molly's question to May about her past. So I quietly stood closer and listened.
I was so shocked. I knew her dad was a mafia leader. But what type mafia leader is he to get involved with such high cold blooded Gangs that do such horrid things to INNOCENT people.
He doesn't even look that high up in the gang world.. I got my share of gangs... And know what types there are and what they are capable off. But he, he looks like the smallest there is. Like a drug lord or something small like that. He doesn't look like a big deal.
I heard the pain in her voice. And just for a split second I wanted to hold her tight. To tell her that everything would be okay. To look into her sad, tired eyes and tell her I'm here to protect her. But that is not who I am. I don't get emotionally involved with anyone, ever.
But yet.... Why do I somehow feel different towards her?
I need to go meet her dad anyways. So I will try and find out what he is completely involved with so that I can protect May better.
As she finishes her story. I silently left.
I stopped at her dad's other location where he handles his mafia business. And because I am May's bodyguard he let's me in on everything he does and anything that puts May in harm.
Nothing prepared me for what her father was about to tell me and in what type of danger she realy is.
